Gingerbread fun!
Saturday night we decided to try our hand at making a Gingerbread house. It was the first time that I can remember making one. Andy had to work on some church stuff but William, Amy, Savannah, and I were game. We laughed so hard and had a blast...check out the pictures to see why.!
Weekend Fun!
My cousin William is in the Corps at A&M so he wasn't able to come to Thanksgiving in Dallas since the game was that night. So, William, Amy (his girlfriend), Aunt Jenny, and Mama came to our house on Friday to hang out for the weekend. Here are some pictures!
Savannah in Williams Senior boots...they are a very special thing for seniors at A&M...ask and he will tell you about the tradition.
Savannah loved sitting with William...this is Saturday Morning while watching cartoons
Aunt Jenny brought bunnies to Austin for us to give to some of Uncle Elvis' friends. Savannah loved them! Too bad they are gone now
We all piled into Mama's van on Saturday and drove to San Antonio for another LT football WIN!!! It is hard for Savannah to stay sitting the whole game but once she got cheetos she was good!
Saturday night we took everyone to the Oasis. They had a fountain that Daddy put Savannah up too.

ICE
Over Thankgiving we went to Dallas to spend time with my family. While there we went to the Gaylord Texas Hotel and went t something called ICE. It is an awesome exhibit where everything is made of ice! 2000 pounds of ice were brought in and the theme was How the Grinch stole Christmas. The room is 9 degrees and then give everyone parkas to where. Savannah's was HUGE!! We had a blast...enjoy the pictures. The video is of Savannah walking around...we thought it was so funny because she looked like ET walking!

A Simple Woman's Daybook
I stole this from Amanda's sight but I thought it would be fun and something different...so Thanks Amanda!
For Today...November 17, 2009
Outside my window...the sun is out and the weather is perfect. All you need is a light jacket. I hear all the students at LTMS talking, opening and closing lockers, and running to class.
I am thinking about...the Hiernoymus/Higgins family. I am also remembering 4 years ago when I didn't have a clue that November 17, 2005 would be the night that I got engaged!!!
I am thankful for...My wonderful Husband and his constant love and support. He is my rock and the person that keeps me grounded! I am also thankful for my amazing family that I am so looking forward to seeing in a week!
From the Kitchen...Well last night we had tajitos with mac and cheese. I am not a big cooker but tonight I am going to make cornpone pie...Andy's favorite!
I am wearing...my coaches attire. Wind pants, long sleeve undershirt, and a Lake Travis athletics shirt. Also the most comfortable tennis shoes ever (Brooks)
I am reading...does People magazine count? I am attempting to read The Shack.
I am praying...for a cheerful heart! I want to be a good steward and use my time, talents, and treasure for the Kingdom. I am also praying for the Hiernoymus/Higgins family as my heart is heavy for their situation!
I am hoping...for a relaxing night with Andy and Savannah. Also for a wonderful Thanksgiving week!
I am creating...still trying to work on Savannah's 1st year scrapbook. But also some Christmas gifts for family. (we will see)
Around the house...Love and excitement for the month ahead. Also, trying to figure out how to remodel of bathroom without costing us a lot of money!
One of my favorite things...Waking up to Savannah smiling and hugging me. And also my wonderful Husband...Thanks for asking me the most important question 4 years ago! I love you!

Who needs quarters?
Andy wanted to go see a band that was playing at the mall and I needed to get a jump start on Christmas shopping. So we loaded Savannah up and went. After about 1.5 hours we knew she was getting restless in the stroller. So we stopped at the rides in the food court. We had no cash but Savannah didn't care. She had a blast for about 30 minutes!
Under the Big Top
Sunday afternoon we went to the Carson Barnes Circus with the Garcia's. It was Savannah and Hudson's first circus and it was so much fun! Just to watch Savannah and Hudson's face was amazing. Jenn and I both had tears in our eyes because they were so excited! Enjoy the pictures! Riding on the Elephant with Mommy!
Santa Anyone?
I love Christmas! Although I am deathly afraid of masks, seeing Santa always brings a smile to my face! I have always enjoyed taking pictures with Santa! In fact Andy and I took pictures with Santa when we were dating. :)
Last weekend we went to the annual Holiday Collections show at a church in the area. They provide Santa pictures for $5.00 and you can take as many as you want with your camera.
So what do you get when you have one great Santa and an adorable baby girl!

Like Father Like Daughter
We went to the Christian Book store last weekend and while Andy was listening to music, Savannah and I went shopping. When we came back Savannah was very interested in what Daddy was doing. Then all she wanted was to listen to ALL the headphones. She would point, sign please, and then dance to the music!

One Great Block Party
We decided that after two years of going to the Butt's block party we wanted to host on in our neighborhood.
We had a great turn out and got to meet some of our neighbors and hang out with others we had met but not really talked to!
This is my neighbor Julie and her daughter Lilia
Savannah is 12 days older than Lilia and it has been
really fun to get to know them and talk about being a
parent for the first time.
Lilia was a Garden Knome
Our Community Group was a huge help and even dressed for the occasion

I love Pa and Ma!!
We love when Pa and Ma come to visit! Not only and I blessed beyond measure for them as in-laws Savannah is truly blessed to have them for Grandparents.
This weekend they got to come help Daddy and Mommy with Savannah since it was going to be a busy weekend! Although there wasn't a ton of time to just sit and talk...we had a great time. I love the fact that I can openly talk to them and feel love and support no matter what!
We love you Pa and Ma and we will see you again soon!
