Happy Birthday Aunt Randi and Aunt Jenny!

We love you both!!

Seasoned Traveler

Savannah has done more traveling in 8 1/2 months than most people have done in two years. She has been on a plane three times, traveled across four states, traveled to all parts of Texas.

This weekend was no different...we traveled with the baseball team to Corpus on Saturday. Savannah did great...we left at 9:30 am and got home at 3 am. It was a very long day and although our boys didn't win, We are so PROUD OF THEM!!

Before I share pictures...I have to brag that a lot of the parents commented on how great of a baby Savannah is. She never cried or anything at the baseball game and she even slept for two hours.

Here are so pictures:

Look at the big girl!!

Hooking it everywhere!

Savannah is officially very mobile! Although her crawl...or as we refer to it as Hookin It...looks wierd... she is fast!
We have found that she loves our bathroom and our TV stand. (don't worry we are about to buy a new entertainment center) Here are a couple of pictures of her getting into things!

Under her jumperoo...after this picture she stood up in the seat part!

Stuck under mommy's dresser

On another note...this weekend we will be cheering on Papa's team as they play CalAllen. We will play at Lake Travis on Friday night and Corpus on Saturday. Being the groupies that we are Corpus here we come! I will post pictures after we win!!!

Our new best friends

After dropping off Savannah at day care yesterday we got an email saying that she was pulling on her ear and crying a lot. I decided I would take Savannah to the doctor just to check her out. As we were driving I was just praying that it wasn't an ear infection.

Well, sure enough...It wasn't! Dr. Spencer thinks that pulling her ear has become a habit. So when I asked her why is she crying, not sleeping, and not eating well...she decided to do a little check up.

Our poor baby has not 1...not 2....not 3...not even 4...but 6 teeth cutting the surface all at the same time. So Andy and I are learning our two best friends are:

Sleep...What is that?

I want to first start by thanking all the men and women who fight for our country and have died for our freedom. We wouldn't be where we are today if it was not for them!

Okay so our Memorial Day weekend.

We headed to Odessa on Thursday afternoon for Grannie's funeral. That is when it all started...our plane was late and then when we finally boarded the plane they told us that some screw was missing and we were getting off the plane to board another one. This meant we missed Grannie's viewing. Andy was pretty upset and trying to calm him down and handle Savannah was a chore in itself. We finally got to Odessa and the funeral went really well. Although it was a really hard day I think Grannie was happy knowing that all of us were together and celebrating life.

So funny things about Odessa: (this was my first time to go and I had a much different picture in my head)
- It is VERY FLAT!!!
- Permian is not the only school in Odessa (although I already knew this because my father in law graduated from Odessa High)
- Ratliff Stadium is in the middle of nowhere
- Apparently one inch of rain means that the city floods...and I mean we couldn't drive on some streets because they were covered in water!
- Rosa's is as good as I have heard

Saturday we got to the airport at 5 am thinking our flight left at 6:30 only to realize it really didn't leave until 7:30. As soon as we landed in Austin we headed to Dell Diamond to watch LT play Hutto for Regionals. The game was crazy and we won with a walk off BALK. When does that ever happen?

Sunday and Monday were supposed to be restful but somehow we found things to do.

All in All it was a good weekend despite some circumstances. Andy and I have not slept well in about two weeks due to many things but mostly Savannah is not sleeping well. Poor baby is cutting all 4 teeth on top at once.

We are so ready for summer... 8 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

We will miss you Grannie

Mary Ann Harvey was a wonderful woman! I am honored to have known her for the past 6 years. Much like all the Harvey's she thought of me as one of her own!

Jesus decided that Friday it was time for her to come home. We are so sad but so happy that she is with Jesus and her family in Heaven.
This is another bittersweet time for us as a family. You are never ready for death and this was a complete shock. We praise God that we got so see Grannie last weekend in Alabama. She was same old Grannie talking, laughing, and loving on all of us.
We love you Grannie and will miss you! Know that Savannah will always know who her Grannie was and how much you loved her. We will see you again soon!

Poor Baby

Savannah is sick again. I thought something was wrong with her this weekend and on Monday she started to get really fussy. Andy took her to the doctor yesterday and she said she thinks that she has a viral virus. Well, today we got a call from day care that she is running a fever and throwing up. So again we will not put in a full week at school.

Please just pray that Savannah gets better and can enjoy the end of school!

Hook it...or should I say crawling

I have always heard that Andy crawled with one leg out. Well this weekend we tried so hard to get Savy to crawl. She went maybe one little scoot and then stopped. Today was a different story...she has been "hooking it" all around tonight!

Big Girl!

We finally changed car seats...my baby is growing up! This morning she loved watching out the window as we drove to school. She normally takes a nap on the way to school and they way home but not today...just kept watching outside, spitting at the window, and laughing at the cars.

Happy Mommy Day!

I had a great first mother's day! We left Alabama at 10:00 am and got back to Austin around 1. Mom and Dad picked us up and we went to Texas Land and Cattle...my favorite. Once we got home I played with Savannah and then put her to bed. I love my life!

Great weekend!

We had a great weekend in Alabama...Here are some pictures:

and by the way Savannah was a great baby and a real trooper...she slept most of the time on the plane and the other half she was laughing and jumping on us :)

Ready to graduate!

Old Friends...Gold

There is a song that says Make new friends but keep the old...One is silver and the other's Gold.

This weekend we were able to go to San Marcos for our friend Amanda's wedding. It was one the San Marcos river and was beautiful. Savannah did great and didn't get fussy when she missed her nap. We have a very happy baby! :) I love getting together with college friends and realized although all of us have gone are separate ways we can still get back together right where we left off.
