Tough Love

Andy and I are trying to work on Savannah's sleep. She will be 10 months old next week and we have had about 3 nights of full sleep.
We started on Sunday after church...she fell asleep on the way home but woke up as soon as I put her in her bed. I had in my head that we would not get her until 3 pm and since that was a little over an hour I didn't think she would cry the whole time. Well, was I wrong...my child has some lungs! But we didn't give in...at 3 pm we went in and got her and by 8 she was asleep for the night.
The past two days have been hard on both of us. When your child is screaming all you want to do is go in and get her...but we haven't so far. Last night she cried for about 30 minutes and fell asleep until 6 this morning.

So we will see...hopefully she will be sleeping through the night before we go to Alabama on Sunday!

Sundays!

Around here Sunday's are crazy! Andy and I try to allow our Sunday afternoons and evenings to be just family. Today our friends Steve and Jenn gave us a table and chairs that they had bought but after looking at it, Steve thought they looked too girly. I have been telling Andy I wanted to get Savannah a table for outside. I was very excited and Savannah seemed to like them as well.
Here are a couple pictures...the first one is Savannah with pigtails! Isn't she cute!!!

Playing guitar with Daddy!

Recently Savannah has loved playing with her guitar that Pa and Ma got her for Christmas. So last night in an effort to keep our daughter awake longer Andy got out his guitar. Savannah loved it! Check out the video!

Happy Father's Day!

I have always been a Daddy's girl! My Dad is one of my best friends and has been there for me through it all.

I knew from the moment I met Andy that he would be a great father! After all he is a kid himself. Once I met Tom Harvey I was reasurred that Andy would make an amazing dad! In 9 months Andy has become more of a man than I ever thought he could be. Some of my favortie moments have been watching Savannah and Andy interact. From the first time he held her to them playing on the ground together. There is no doubt that Savannah is going to be a daddy's girl and in the past couple of days she is always saying Dada and following him around everywhere!
Happy 1st Father's Day Babe! I can't wait to watch you and Savannah's relationship grow. After all she is learning from the best Daddy's girl I know! Love you!
I also want to say Happy Father's day to my Dad and Dad Harvey. I am so blessed to have these two men in my lives! As I stated before at 26 I am still a Daddy's girl and I talk to him everyday...plus I work with him! But I have also been blessed with amazing in laws! My father in law has never thought twice about excepting me into his family. And although he has two daughters he never has made me feel like anything less than one myself. His love and devotion to Momma Harvey and the rest of us goes to show that God was in control when I prayed about my husband and his family!
These two men are not just great dads but they are amazing grandads! And Savannah loves them very much!
Happy Father's Day Daddy, Pa, and Papa!!!

Mommy-Savannah Day!

Today Daddy needed to house to get some recording done so Savannah and I were off to have a date day! Something that I am slowly realizing is that it is hard to get up and go places without a lot of planing these days.
We left the house at 8:00ish this morning and started our day
- gymboree at 9:15
- water park and lunch date with Ms. Jennifer and Lauren
- Nap at Nana and Papa's (they weren't home but we needed to go somewhere)
- Get fitted for Mommy's dress for Aunt Tuck's wedding
- run home for about 45 minutes to see Daddy before band practice
- Dinner with Nana and Papa
- Shopping with Nana and Papa
- Bath and Bed!

On another note. We took Savannah to get her 9 month check up. She is doing great
17 lbs and 11 ounces = 28%
28 inches = 78%
We talked about how she isn't sleeping and the doctor told us that it looks like we are going to have to do some tough love and let her cry it out. Can I just tell you it is killing me and it has only been tonight. But as Melissa said...We need our sleep!
Below is a video of Savannah trying to drive my car and listening to her cd!

Happy Birthday Addisyn!

Today is cousin Addisyn's 3rd birthday! We love you and will see you on Saturday!

Where's Savannah?

So Andy and I are having to do a lot of searching and watching Savannah now. She is so mobile and gets into places I never thought possible! After talking to some moms, I decided that everyday Savannah would have some play time in her pack n play. I went to target and got 100 balls and made it into a ball pit of sorts. (thanks gail!) She loved it and stayed playing for about 45 minutes!
Savannah was caught in between the couch and table.

Mt. Bonelll

Last week, we decided to show Rob and Amy so parts of Austin. One of our stops was Mt. Bonnell. It was very hot but beautiful!

9 months and testing

Savannah turned 9 months on Wednesday and we couldn't believe it! We have had an eventful summer thus far and we are loving being home around each other. Although I must say Savannah is starting to test Andy and I. We are trying to work at it but man it is testing us.
We are looking forward to our Emily and Addisyn's party this week. I will post more pictures soon!

Fun Tuesday!

Today was great day for Savannah and Mommy! We started by meeting Ms. Ashley and Emily at Gymboree for a class they were offering! Savannah loved it and we are going back on Thursday! After the play date with Emily. We met Aunt Amy at Target and enjoyed spending time walking around. After target Mommy and Daddy went over to Nana and Papa's for dinner. We got to see Papa's brand new truck...which is awesome and Daddy is jealous. Then we went swimming. At first we weren't to sure but after a little bit we really like it.

RFJ rocks out!

Monday night, Daddy's band from college got to play at the starbucks that Aunt Jill works out! We loved it and a lot of people laughed! Here are some pictures from the night and also a video of me rocking out!

I love uncle Rob!

Uncle Rob is staying with us for a couple of weeks so that he can save money for him and Aunt Amy when they get married. We are praying that they both can find jobs in the austin area.

Happy graduation Rachel!

Mommy's cousin Rachel graduated from High School on Saturday! Here are a couple of pictures from the day! We are all so proud of her!

Schools Out for the Summer!

In some ways I thought this year would never end! I can't believe that I have finished another year and that Savannah is almost 9 months old! Much to my nerves and anxiety...Savannah loved daycare. I couldn't have asked for better teachers and better hands to leave my precious baby with 5 days a week. She is really going to miss having time with her teachers and classmates but don't worry we have some playdates starting this week!

Here are pictures of Savannah on her last day!:
