MIA

Sorry I have been MIA the past week or so.  We have had the flu, stomach bug, and ear infections in our house and well I haven't felt like doing anything besides just sleeping!  So let me catch you up on our events the past 2 weeks:
-Ma came to stay for a week to help take care of the kids while Mommy had the flu and Savannah had the stomach bug.  I am so lucky and blessed to have someone who can drop everything and come help.
-Savannah has started t-ball and last night she had another girl join her team so she is so excited to have another girl.
-Daddy is gettting everything ready for Easter at Crossroads
-Bruce is still his happy self but did get sick Sunday night and we are so thankful to Nana for being able to take off and take care of the boy!  Again blessed by our parents
-We are enjoying Lake Travis Baseball.  My children think they rule the ballpark and love to watch Papa and the boys!
-Mommy is finally getting in the swing of things at her new job and planning the biggest event for elementary PE - Field Day!
- And finally we have made the decision to put our house on the market and try to move to Pflugerville.  It is a big challenge and we are praying through everything.  Please keep us in your prayers as a lot of things need to fit perfectly in order for it all to work :)

Last Saturday I was blessed to help host and celebrate a surprise baby shower for my friend Jennifer.  Jenn and I met at a planning meeting for Crossroads almost 6 years ago.  She has been such a blessing to our family and I love her and her family very much!  She and Leo already have Isaiah who is one of Bruce's best buddies and in May they will welcome Leah!

And last but not least I am very thankful for my best friend Jill!  She has been such a blessing the past 5 years.  I want to give her and Jason a big Happy 5 years Anniversary!  Love you guys!

Rodeo

Friday morning we had plans to go to the Rodeo with my parents but Savannah was sick on Thursday so we weren't sure.  Well, she decided she wanted to try so we went but she started to wear down and we decided it was time to go.  We had a great time with Nana and Papa and really enjoyed all the animals!
The kids loved the petting zoo!
After the petting zoo we wanted to ride the ponies...I was a little scared about Bruce being on the horse but he did great and didn't want Daddy to touch him
After the pig races we decided to ride a couple rides...my fearless kids wanted to go on the ferris wheel.  If course Mommy and Nana stayed on the ground!  Notice both of them looking over the side.  Nearly gave Nana and me are heart attack!
We went and looked at the show animals and Papa and Nana wanted a picture by the longhorns :)
Of course we loved the tractors and Savannah wanted to do the pedal race...
We spent the last 20 minutes on the big tractors...look at the cute hats that Nana bought the kids :)
We had a great time but are now home sick again...While Savannah is laying in bed we are working on trying to get the house ready to sell.

Meeting Emily Stole!

After leaving Bridge City we made a quick stop in Houston to see Lacy and meet Emily!  Lacy was my college roommate and although we live in two different cities we pick up right where we left off when we see each other!  I was so excited to meet her newest addition and can't wait to see them again!

Spring Break in Bridge City

After church on Sunday we loaded up the car and headed to Bridge City to visit Pa, Ma, and Papaw! It was a great trip and very relaxing!
Pa and Ma have been working very hard on the house and it looks great! One new addition was awesome furniture!  Bruce loved sitting with Ma in the rocking chair and having her read to him!
Of course we spent a lot of time outside!
I love this picture...Ma will probably kill me for posting the picture of the garage but if you look carefully Bruce is talking to Baby Cat!

Of course we spent some time swinging!
 Bruce and his bat!

Pa surprised us on Tuesday and was able to take the day off to spend with us!  We took advantage of the beautiful day and went into Beaumont to play Putt-Putt

Once we got back home we spent more time outside!  Their neighbor brought his golf cart over and let the kids play on it.  We went down to the swamp and all around the neighborhood!

Ma and Pa have this beautiful area in their yard and the Azalea's were blooming like crazy.  I really wanted a picture of Savannah by the flowers but well she had other ideas of smiling.  I love this girl!

We had a great time in Bridge City and can't wait to go back this summer!  Love you Pa, Ma, and Papaw!

Start of Spring Break

We have a great Spring Break planned!   It all started Friday night with Aunt Jenny and Addisyn coming to visit!
Bruce and Savannah were so excited to see Addisyn and they played for a few minutes before it was bed time for all!
We woke up Saturday morning and went to Papa's games.  He was supposed to have 3 but due to the rain on Friday night and the mist Saturday morning he was only able to get one game in.

We weren't to disappointed because that meant we got to go to Main Event with everyone!
After Main Event the girls went to Nana and Papa's for a slumber party and met us for donuts Sunday morning!

After early church Addisyn left so she could head to Oklahoma and we left to head to Bridge City!  Lots more Spring Break pictures and updates coming soon!
