Restful weekend

We had a very low key weekend. It was nice as we head into February and a crazy couple of weeks and weekends!
I finish basketball next Monday and move right into Track on Wednesday. I also have something literally every weekend this month with two out of town trips planned. This weekend is the Women's retreat at our church and I am very excited about it and I think that Andy has a date day planned with Savannah on Saturday :)
Since I really don't want to write it all out I thought I would just bullet things on my or our mind lately...
- Andy has an inner and outer ear infection in both ears ~ makes for a husband that doesn't feel good but is trying to hide it

- Had a great dinner with Jason and Jill on Friday, neighbors on Saturday, and Sean and Jessica (Tuck) on Sunday!

- February means BASEBALL and I am so excited!

- This is my final week of my 2nd trimester...can't believe it has gone so fast
- Ordered Bruce's bedding today, I am excited for it to arrive so we can start getting the nursery ready

- Night with Savannah have been interesting...some nights she puts herself to sleep, other nights she screams. But Daddy and Mommy are standing tough even though it is hard

- Savannah has learned how to throw a fit which is something that neither Andy or I put up with but it does make for discipline that isn't so fun

- Yesterday and Today it is in the 70's but by tomorrow it will be in the 20's...Love Texas weather

- A lot of important people have birthday's in Feb. and we are trying to get presents and celebrate with them!

- Looking forward to Feb 21st when we have a day off from school

I think that is it...I mean I can probably name some more but I thought I would just give you a couple :)

Have a great first week of February!

Prayers Needed!

This little cutie is Weston Golden! He is 6 months old and the little brother of Savannah's very good friend Emily and our friend Billy and Ashley Golden. When Weston was about a month old they found out that he had Biliary Atresia. Which basically means he needed a new liver. They have been on an emotional roller coaster the past 5 months filled with may trips to the hospital in Austin and Houston.
Billy and Ashley have been spliting time in Houston for the past 3 weeks as Weston has been there waiting a Transplant. Basically Billy is here working at my school M-F taking care of Emily then he drives to Houston and Ashley comes back to Austin to work the weekend.
Well today we are praising God and asking for prayers! Billy is on his way to Houston as a possible liver just came available for Weston. The surgery is set for 5 pm tonight!
Please be in prayer that this liver is the right size for baby Weston and that his road to recovery with a new liver is fast and smooth. Billy and Ashley have been told that with a new liver Weston will live a normal life and just have to take an anti reaction pill for the rest of his life.
All my prayer warriors please pray for:
1. Billy's safe travel to Houston right now as he is excited and nervous.
2. For the liver to be the right size and match for Weston
3. For Ashley and Billy as they turn over their precious baby boy to doctors for a transplant
4. For the Dr. and Nurses as they perform the surgery.
5. And for the family of the child that gave the liver
Will keep you updated!
Praying for you Ashley, Billy, Weston, and Emily!!!

Fun with Family

This weekend we were able to spend some much needed time with the Harvey family! We have been trying to head out to Andy's uncles land and shoot some guns for a while and this weekend worked great!

Savannah and Mimi feeding the donkey's...Savannah thought it was so funny!

Daddy shooting...this sucker KICKS!

Mommy with Daddy's 22. Watch out Sarah Palin!

Do I see 2 democrats enjoying shooting guns :) Just kidding...I love you guys!

Sisterly bonding!

Savannah was playing with Ma, Aunt Tracee, and Mimi...the gun noise didn't seem to bother her at all!

We had a great weekend and were so blessed with great weather! As you can see I am getting bigger by the day. I am 26 weeks along and Bruce did great while Mommy was shooting.
This week is our slow week before we start Feb. It is about to get crazy around our house but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Wordless Wednesday

Sorry the picture is such bad quality...taken with my phone and not much light. Savannah is sick again so we are just trying to get her back to being healthy. I am hoping she can go to school tomorrow. All she wants is Daddy right now which I love and hate :(

What a week!

We have had a great week! It has been centered on God and Andy and I are excited to see what God has in store for us and for our family! Although I didn't blog or get on facebook I did take pictures of the different things we did. So here is our week in pictures

Saturday: I walked in from the garage and saw something on our deck. When it turned it's head I screamed at Andy. IT WAS A FOX!!! I know it looks pretty but seriously a fox. We hope that we got rid of it but we aren't sure.

One night we went Olive Garden with a gift card we got for Christmas. Savannah is all about
Daddy lately, which I love!

What will she order?

Lately, Savannah has really been enjoying her puzzles. She is working on telling us the color and the number as she puts the pieces where they go.

Saturday morning, Andy and I were cleaning when Andy told me to come look at Savannah...this is what I found. How she got the shopping cart up there we aren't sure but she was perfectly content.

We also went and visited Baby Isaiah at the Higgins house. We had a great visit with Leo and although Isaiah slept the whole time, Savannah kept checking on him. She took a special liking to Jake their dog.

After we visited Baby Isaiah we went to Hudson's cars birthday party!

Savannah has been coughing with a runny nose lately, which I suspect is allergies. One of the few things I didn't want her to inherit from me. This was Savannah while I was getting ready for church this morning.

Finally...it is Andy and Savannah's world and I am just trying to live in it.

We have had a great week and hope you did as well!

Fun pictures!

Just thought I would leave you with some fun pictures from this week! We are so glad it's Friday...it has been a LONG week! Tonight we get to go meet Baby Isaiah and then dinner with the O'Hearns. But tomorrow we have NO PLANS!!! Probably hang out around the house and watch movies...I am so excited!

Riding on Daddy's back...his ears make good reigns!

Mommy and Savannah supporting Cousin William and the Aggies tonight for the Cotton Bowl!

Big Girl Room!

I have been excited and sad to turn Savannah's room into a big girl room. However, I must say I am in love with her new room. The crib and dresser are now in the office which is slowly becoming the nursery (I say slowly bc well right now it looks like a tornado went through it!)

Savannah's room and furniture are extra special because each piece in the room her grandparents worked on. Her bed was bought by Andy's parents and Andy's dad spent a couple months taking it apart, sodering (sorry about the spelling) it back together, sanding it, and repainting it for her room. Her dresser and desk have been in my parents house for about 10 years. They decided that they would sand it down and repaint it for a little girls room!

Here are some pictures...hope you enjoy

The back wall...her crib used to be under the name on the wall but now as you can see it is her bookcase. Which about every other day she will pull them all out and sit on the floor and read. If you look close you can see her taking the books off in the picture.

This is the wall when you walk in her room. Right now the desk is a changing table but soon enough we will start potty training...after all I don't want 2 in diapers for too long!

Her bed! Yes, it is tall...about 3 1/2 feet off the ground but she loves it! And knock on wood she hasn't gotten down yet. Although, we are looking into some steps for when we start potty training.

The wall when you first walk in. The giraffe board was made by Uncle Daryl and Aunt Randi and I love it!

And last but not least the sweetest girl asleep during nap. Her newest thing is to take a book to bed with her. She will read it out loud until she falls asleep.

Christmas in Mobile

On Christmas Day we finished our drive to Mobile. It was a great week with lots of laughing and fun...once again I am not sure what the deal was this Christmas with not really having my camera but I didn't take near enough pictures of the fun!

Some fo the highlights were...Wii, Backyard therapy, reading an entire book, Bananagrams, laughing while doing movie impersonations, sleeping in, and just hanging out! Here are some of the pictures I did get...I don't think we took a picture of the three of us all break...what were we thinking...oh well.

Savannah with Uncle Daryl and Aunt Randi

Uncle Daryl and Aunt Randi got her skates for Christmas...she loves them! She has already gone around our house with them on as well...now she doesn't want you to hold her hands she wants to do it by herself.

Dancing with Pa!

Helping Uncle Daryl make cupakes...she was doing a lot of taste testing!

We played a lot of Wii and it was awesome! Lots of laughs!

Backyard therapy...it was great!

We had a great Christmas break and enjoyed seeing all of our family! The only regret I have is not taking enough pictures but I guess that just means we were having such a great time!
Here's to 2011...and taking more pictures :)

Our Family Chirstmas

This was one of the first years that Andy and I have actually been home for a couple days during the break. We decided that this year would be a low key Christmas and that we wouldn't really do Santa this year because Savannah didn't quite understand...but next year I am so excited to make cookies and all that with her!

Here are a couple pictures of Savannah opening her gifts in the morning...her two favorite things...her tent and a flashlight!

For Christmas Eve our church does a service at the Oasis in Austin. Once again I didn't take out my camera and I am kicking myself for not taking a family picture. Savannah had a new dress on and looked so cute. This is the only picture of her I got...she was lighting the candle for Silent Light with Papa

Here is the band singing...notice the cute guy in the front...I am married to him!

At about 9 pm Christmas Eve we loaded the car and headed to Port Arthur for the night...we slept at Pa's trailer and headed to Mobile Christmas morning!

Christmas in Dallas

I am so fortunate to have a great family on all sides. We still try to get together with my entire Mom's family and Dad's family during the Holidays. This year we did Christmas before with my side of the family. Hope you enjoy the pictures...there are lots of them!

After the football game we went out to eat with my Mom's family and then went back to my Aunt Karen's to sing, play games, talk, and open presents.
We have a tradition in our family of reading the story of Jesus' birth followed by singing "Come on Ring those Bells." We all get our own bells and sing...this year we also sang some old Christmas hymns.

My Mom and Savannah signing songs...

Some of the family around the piano

Addisyn and Savannah ringing their bells...they look tired but they really did enjoy it.

The penguin and Santa having a dance off...long story but it was funny!

On Sunday Andy had to go back to Austin for church...he drove back Saturday night and then back on Sunday afternoon.

I had the pleasure of going to church with my brother...It was amazing to see how God is working in his life through all of his trials this year.

After church we met my parents and the girls (my neice Addisyn and Savannah) at Rainforest Cafe. At first Savannah wasn't exactly sure about it but she got used to it. However, she is her mother's child...as soon as the tree frog came out she freaked out and held on for dear life!
They got reindeer hats

Ryan and Addisyn outside of the resturant

After lunch we took the girls to the Polar Express...basically a show and then they get to ride on a real train to the North Pole. They had a great time and I must say I had fun myself.

With Santa in their matching PJ's

Signing on stage before the train...as you can see Savannah wasn't so sure.

On the train...dancing and singing along with everyone

On Monday we took the girls to the Gaylord Texan to experience ICE. The inside of the hotel is decorated beautifully. Here are the girls in a sled in the main lobby.

Elfinator at the Texan...it was fun but probably not worth the money. The girls enjoyed it so that is what matters. Basically you walk in the room and all of the sudden you are an elf and everything is much bigger than you.

Getting ready to become an elf...wonder what a prego elf looks like

Sitting in Santa's chair

They were acting like Rudolph

ICE at the Gaylord Texas was Charlie Brown this year. It was a LONG DAY and I am not sure if we will do it next year. Savannah had fun but she was so cold and hated that her hands couldn't fit out of the jacket...she also was so tired! Here are two pictures we got.

AFter Ice we did Christmas with my Dad's family but I was having so much fun laughing that I totally forgot to take any pictures!
