Our handsome boy!

I took advantage of a beautiful day yesterday and got some pictures of Bruce for his birthday party! I can't believe he will be 1 in 6 weeks! Isn't he handsome!

We are having a Born in the USA theme party :)

Not a fan of the smash cake!

So Sissy will help...Then I had to get a cute picture of Savannah - no smile because lets face it there was cake!

Our weekend!

This weekend Andy and the Crossroads band were asked to participate in a Praise Battle of the Bands at the Cedar Park Center. Although they didn't win I think they did great!

My Hot Husband Praising the Lord!

We also had some special guests come visit for the concert and just to see us :) Savannah and Bruce love their Pa!

Andy is very close to his cousin Jackee and asked if she wanted to catch a ride with Pa and Ma to see us. We are so glad she did! Can't wait until the next time we get to hang out with her.

This picture is after church...Amy and Rob came with us to church and then of course we ate Whataburger after :)
Pa and Ma and 2 of their 3 grandchildren!
Savannah in Pa's hat!

Amy, Andy, and Ma!
Bruce decided that since Pa and Ma were in town as he had an audience he would take his first steps on Sunday! I can't believe it! He is 10 1/2 months old and walking...look out Daddy and Mommy!

I will praise you in this storm!

This week has been hard on my family. I know that God is in control and everything is for his Glory but sometimes that is hard to see! But while reading my morning blogs and praying about everything I read this:

Take a little time to rest,

Trust in God to do what's best,

Tell Him everything you need,

Follow where His hand may lead,

Think of His great love for you,

Believe there's nothing he can't do,

And know-without a single doubt-How much you're being thought about!

Then while I was on the treadmill the song came on:

I will praise you in the Storm by Casting Crowns

I was sure by now

God You would have reached down

And wiped our tears away

Stepped in and saved the day

But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls

I barely hear Your whisper through the rain"I'm with you"

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands and praise the God who givesAnd takes away

[Chorus:]And I'll praise You in this storm

And I will lift my hands

For You are who You are

No matter where I am

And every tear I've cried

You hold in Your hand

You never left my side

And though my heart is tornI will praise You in this storm

I remember whenI stumbled in the wind

You heard my cry to you

And you raised me up again

My strength is almost gone

How can I carry on

If I can't find You

But as the thunder rolls

I barely hear You whisper through the rain"I'm with you"

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands and praise the God who givesAnd takes away

[Chorus]

I lift my eyes unto the hills

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord

The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I must remember to Praise God in this Storm! It is hard and it is not easy but he never promised it would be! If you are going through a storm I pray that you take comfort in knowing that He never gives us more than we can handle!

I love my family and I know that through this Storm we will only become closer and stronger in our faith!

Spring Break IPhone edition

I promise this is the last post on Spring Break! Since Andy and I were at two different places a couple of times I had a phone instead of the camera
Tuesday night we headed to Dell Diamond to watch Papa's baseball boys!

Savannah's new thing is to have Bruce on her shoulders and walk around with him...they both crack up laughing. Of course one of us is always holding Bruce!
We went to the Rodeo with Savannah's BFF Emily and her family

Such a big girl!

Emily and Savannah have been together since birth! They fight like sisters and most days they are best friends! The walked around the whole time holding hands! So cute!

With a baby Longhorn in the back!

Riding a ride together!

My brave girl and Emily on the Ferris Wheel with Mr. Billy. Mommy and Ms. Ashley stayed down with the boys!

After Zilker we all went to Gatti Land and played some games. Again my child loves thrills and got on the ride that goes to the top

Daddy and Savannah enjoyed playing this game!

On Saturday Savannah's friend MaKinley had a party at a gymnastics place. Savannah loved it and told me she wanted to do that. So Andy and I are going to look into gymnastics this summer

We had a great Spring Break and are counting down to Summer. 50 days!

Spring Break Part 2

Wednesday we decided to venture out to the mall. Our mall is great and whoever designed it is making a killing. In one area there is a jumpy house, train, carousel, build a bear, and a trampoline thing. We decided to go to the jumpy house for a little while and then I had 2 free tickets for the train!
Bruce enjoyed watching everything!
Savannah's favorite is the slide!

Once Bruce checked everything out he started playing!
After the jumpy house we decided to ride the train. Bruce loved it and stood the entire time while waving and smiling at all the mall goers. Savannah liked it as long as we weren't by the Easter Bunny set up in the mall :)
Wednesday and Thursday night Andy got to attend SXSW...he loved it.

His favorite part was winning tickets to see Bruce Springsteen! The venue he was in didn't allow cameras but he had a great time!

Thursday we went to the rodeo which I will post pictures in the next post!

We bought Savannah a kite and had promised her that we would go fly it. So Friday morning we ventured down to Zilker park to play and fly the kite

Andy trying to get it up and flying and Savannah wanted a turn!

Zilker is beautiful and I love the Austin skyline!

I think this is my favorite picture! As you can tell a storm was blowing in but Savannah and Bruce are just watching the kite!

Zilker had a small patch of bluebonnets so we thought we would try to get a couple pictures...I love this time of year with all the wildflowers all over. Our plan is to get some better pictures and of the entire family soon!

This was the best we could get with both of them looking up :)

Sweet girl...fake smile!

We headed over to the park before we left and we found Bruce's love of swings!

Savannah has become such a big girl and likes to pump her legs by herself on the swings now!

Zilker has a old fire truck in the playground area and Bruce liked sitting by it!

Big girl holding herself up!

After Zilker we headed to Gatti Land and then home for a long nap!
