Christmas Part 4

Christmas night: Ryan and Jennifer's house

At the end of the day my imediate family headed back to my brothers house to have our Christmas. Can I just say that Savannah and Addisyn are loved!

It was a great Christmas but that night Andy and I were both ready to lay down. The next morning we headed back to Austin.

By the way...Christmas isn't done...we head to Alabama to do Christmas Harvey style on Sunday!!!

Christmas Part 3

The Carlton Household
Let me start this by saying...we are truly blessed to spend Christmas with so much family. I love it and wouldn't trade it for the world.!

At the Carlton Christmas we have alot of Traditions.
1. Eat Mexican food
2. Sing 'Come on ring those bells'
We all have our own bells and we ring them in the song
3. Read the Christmas Story...Remember it's Jesus' birthday

This year was so fun! Along with our Traditions we did a couple other things. My Great Aunt Diann read what the 12 days of Christmas song was really about and then we had to break into groups of three and sing the song. Let me tell you this was so funny. Some family members tried to sing on pitch and others just said the words!
Another thing we did was Aunt Paula's idea. Rick and Paula bought these Christmas car magnets. We did kinda a white elephant type game with them and that was also enjoyable!

Christmas Part Two

Christmas Morning - The Kinnan House

We got to my Mama's house around 11 or so Christmas eve. Rachel and Mama were waiting up and although Savannah was sound asleep in the car she woke up when we went inside and decided it was play time! We all decided to go to bed around 12:30 since we were having breakfast with the family the next morning.
Christmas Morning came a lot sooner than I thought. Savannah slept in the bed with me while Andy slept in the other room because we were too lazy to set up the pack-n-play. Needless to say I didn't sleep much (She moves like crazy)

Hannah came over at 8 am to tell us everything that Santa brought her. Hannah Montana Stuff...surprise...surprise! At that point we started cooking for breakfast. At 9:45 ish everyone showed up. We had a lot of laughs and enjoyed each others company. Savannah was spoiled rotten and that was only the beginning of the day.
We left for the Carlton Household at 1pm

Christmas Part 1

So I figured since we are having multiple Christmas' I would explain each one and then post again.

Part one - Christmas Eve
So I have to admit...I wasn't really that happy when Andy told me that we would be doing a Christmas Eve service with Crossroads. After all I thought we don't have a permanent building and it is our year to be in Alabama for Christmas.

However, God wasn't to fond of me being selffish and put me in my place. What better way to spend Christmas Eve than at home with Andy and Savannah and then head to one of the most beautiful places to have a Christmas Eve Service.
Our day started out great. Savannah woke up at 7:30 and was all smiles! We gave her the presents that Daddy and Mommy got her...she didn't care much for the matching luggage with her name on it. But she loved the puppy!
That afternoon Daddy headed to the Oasis to set up for the service. That's right we had our Christmas Eve service at sunset on Lake Travis. Remember how I was saying I was less than happy about the whole thing. I remember telling Andy "There is only going to be like 50 people there!" Well, God has a way of putting me in my place...we had around 150-160 there! It was beautiful and Savannah did great!
After the service was over we headed to Dallas for Christmas day!

Merry Christmas

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We will be heading to Dallas for two days and the Mobile after that so I won't post until later. Hope you all enjoy your Christmas and remember that Jesus is the REASON!!!!

Trail of Lights

Every year in Austin there is something called the Trail of Lights. It is one of my favorite things to do...it is a mile long stretch of lights with a big tree to spin under at the end. It doesn't feel like Christmas to me until we go.
This year we took our bible study since most of them have not even lived in Texas that long. Altough there was a ton of people we had a great time. Savannah just stared at all the lights and sometimes she smiled too.

State Champs!!!

Last year at this time I remember driving to Waco for the Football State Championship between Lake Travis and Highland Park. Andy and I along with the rest of my family were sitting in Baylor stadium freezing as we watched the Cavs win a very close and nerve racking game. While at the game there was a little girl with red curly hair that was one of the prettiest girls I had ever seen. Her name "Savannah!" When I heard her mom say it I looked at Andy and asked him if he liked that name. He said yes that is sounded very good with Harvey.
FAST FORWARD A YEAR: We are at Baylor Stadium again for another state Championship between Lake Travis and Longview. With us all of our family and our beautiful red headed little girl named Savannah! Crazy how good God is.
Lake Travis did it again! Back to Back State Champions. What a awesome accomplishment. Now my dad has another one to add to his resume! If you don't know winning a state championship in Texas takes luck and talent. Many coaches will never get one in their lifetime. My dad won as the head baseball coach in 1989 and now has won as the asst. football in 2007 and 2008. WAY TO GO CAVS!!!!

Take a look at #7 Garret Gilbert...you are going to hear his name a lot one day!

We have a new artist in the family

Look what Mommy and Daddy got from Day Care this week. Isn't Savannah just the little artist

Air Savannah

Savannah is growing so fast. She is much more aware of everything around her! When we feed her now we have to move the bottle with her head because she wants to see everything. This morning she wanted to play but she didn't want to lay on her back she wanted to sit up and see us before she would smile. My little three month old is acting more like a six month old. The day care says she is the most developed 3 month old they have ever seen.

I knew she would be a genius...I mean look at her parents :)

So Andy and Savannah have a new game called Air Savannah. She loves it and Andy loves doing it with her because he gets smiles and laughs/coughs. Here are a couple pictures

My first Longhorn

We were driving to Kohl's this afternoon and what did mommy see...Pictures with a Longhorn.

Baby Dedication

This morning Savannah was dedicated at church. What that basically means is that Andy and I are commited to raising Savannah in Christ. Brady and the congregation prayed over us and gave us their promise that they would hold us accountable!
More than anything in the world I want Savannah to come to know the Lord as her personal Savior! This is the beginning! We were joined by Nana, Papa, Pa, Aunt Jenny, William, Aunt Tuck, and Sean.

Every little girl need a...

PINK TREE!!! So I love Christmas and well I thought Savannah might enjoy a tree. As I talked to Andy about it he wasnt' so sure but have no fear...OH YEAH did it without me asking! That's right my favorite store and the store that Savannah is officially "the Oh Yeah Baby!" gave us a pink tree just for her.

26 years old

Wow! I can't believe I am 26! Who would have thought my life would be this great at just 26! I want to take this time to personally thanks so of my family and friends:

1st: Jesus Christ...without Him I am nothing!

2nd: My wonderful Husband. Andy you amaze me each day with how you love me! Thank you for supporting me and being by my side in all my decisions. I love that I get to wake up and go to sleep next to my best friend every day. You are so much more than I could ever ask for and I am so blessed to call you my Husband!

3rd: Savannah: You don't know it yet but you are an extension of me. I can't go anywhere with out thinking about you and wondering how you are. On nights when you won't go to sleep all I have to do is look at your smile and it is all worth it. I love you so much Pumpkin!

4th: My family.
Dad and Mom you have been there with me through everything. I love the fact that I can call you my friends not just my parents. Thank you for showing me what loving your spouse and family means. You are truly my hero's!
Dad and Momma Harvey: I don't know many people that have a relationship with their in-laws that I do. You are truly second parents to me and I love the fact that I can hang out with you even when Andy's not around. I love you both very much!
Ryan: I love you more than you will ever know. As a brother you have been my protector but as my friend you have been someone I can call and talk to about anything!
Jennifer, Randi, and Amy: I always wanted a sister growing up and now I have three! You all bring me so much joy and laughter!
To all my grandparents: What an accomplishment you have shown Andy and I. After more than 50 years together you still show love and support to each other and all of us! We are so blessed and Savannah will always know how wonderful her 8 great-grandparents are!
Addiysn: I love being your Aunt! You are a little fireball and I love playing with you!

5th: My friends!
I am truly blessed with amazing friends! From my childhood to college to church. I wouldn't be who I am today with out your friendship and your laughter. You all make me laugh so much when we are around each other!
Tuck: What can I say that I haven't already said? You are my best friend and through everything you have been the person that I could always count on to pray for me and make me laugh! I love you!
Lacy: Can you believe we lived together almost 5 years ago. Although I don't get to see you near as often as I would want. I know I can count on you to come running! I love you
My church Family: What a blessing you all are! Thank you for your continuing support and encouragement to Andy and I!

All I have to say is I can't wait to see my list in another 26 years! I love you all and thank you for being a part of my life!

Go Cavs Go!

LT football has done it again! This weekend marked a exciting time for Lake Travis...our football team was the first team in over 15 years to play a football game at UT's DKR stadium. My dad was so excited to be on the field. He called my mom and told her he was standing on the field with all the UT football coaches and our helmet was on the jumbotron. LT pulled out another victory 71-9. We now play Saturday in College Station for the State Semi-Final.
Here are a few pictures from the day

THE BEST PRESENT!!!

I can't tell you anything I want more for Christmas than what I have right now! Andy and Savannah are the best presents I could ever ask for! Here are some pictures of Savannah at our house in one of her many Christmas outfits!

A picture I have to share

I had to share this picture with all of you...

After Thanksgiving Andy was asked to get out his guitar and play a little bit. Andy's Grannie asked him to play a song that his dad used to play so he did. Well, in the middle of the song Dad Harvey came from the kitchen and started belting the tune! It was so funny and entertaining. Once Amy joined in they sang for about an hour. Another great Harvey family memory! This picture will remind me of that and make me smile when I am not having a great day! (Check out Amy...she was dancing)

Sleeping

Tonight marks night 4 of Savannah sleeping in her own room. I have to say I am not as nervous as I thought I would be with her across the house.

Savannah is sleeping a good 6-7 hours at night now but when she goes to bed at 7 or 8 that means it is play time at 3-4am. So needless to say we are trying to keep her up later at night but she isn't having any of that yet!:)

However, I am blessed to have a husband that gets up with her and will let mommy sleep. Since I started back to work Andy and I opperate on a every other night rotation except no matter what he gets every Friday night and I get every Saturday night since he has to sing on Sunday morning. I have heard so many stories of Dads not doing anything at night and I must say my husband is not one of them!

Family Pictures

We did our annual Christmas pictures! This time I must say was a little bit of a challenge trying to get all of us ready and out the door. You wouldn't think an extra person would be that big of a deal but when it is a baby you take the entire house most of the time! Here is a link of favorites to look at! Don't worry you will get a Christmas card soon!

4. Savannah on her first plane ride...sleeping both ways!
5. Seeing family I haven't seen in over 5 years
6. Being able to be so thankful for so many things! I can't begin to tell you how blessed I am as a wife, mom, daughter, sister-in-law, and friend! Thank you to all who continue to believe in me and support me in all my activities!

Here are a few pictures from this week! To see more check out my facebook page.

Smiles

Savannah has started smiling all the time...Here are some of my favorite shots!
