Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend! Since this is one of the last as a family of 3 we decided to just relax and do a couple things!

Savannah has been completely spoiled by her grandparents and she had 3 Easter baskets to open so each morning she was able to have one. Friday Andy and I woke up at 7 and enjoyed staying in bed until 9 when Savannah woke up! Once we got up and moving we headed to see Rio and then to the park before nap time

Here is Savannah opening her Easter basket from Pa and Ma and then cracking the confetti eggs

If you look at the top of the slide you see Savannah coming down.

Saturday, we once again enjoyed just hanging out around the house. Saturday evening we met my cousins Kristen and Katie for dinner and then we all came back to our house. Of course Savannah showed off for them! Once she was asleep we stayed up talking and laughing for a couple of hours! I am so blessed to have cousins that I call my friends!
Here is Savannah opening her Easter basket from Papa and Nana!

Yes, I am 39 weeks prego and so READY!

Sunday's are always busy around our house. Normally Savannah is barely awake by the time Andy leaves for church but we made sure to wake her up so she could get her Easter basket from us.

Check out how big she looks!

All about Daddy!

After the service our church does a BBQ and an Easter Egg Hunt. This year Savannah actually knew what to do.

After church and a nap we had a neighbors Easter Egg Hunt!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We or should I say I are hoping that Bruce makes his appearance this week!

38 weeks and So Ready!

Well, I am 38 weeks! At my last appt Bruce seemed to be pretty content to stay for a while. It is a very different feeling this time around because well I know he will come out eventually! :) With Savannah I literally cried every day she didn't come.

I know I have said that I need to go into May for financial reasons but let me tell you May is 12 days away and man that seems like a long time! I have a lot of pressure and am not comfortable but I am so thankful to be pregnant. It is one of those 6 of one/half a dozen of another type things.

This weekend Savannah went with my parents to Dallas to see our neice in a musical. Andy and I had big plans to get some stuff done and enjoy being childless one last time. Well, Andy is sick...like running a 100-103 temp sick. So he has been in bed and I have been running arrons and resting.

This picture is of Savannah after she got back on Sunday. She was so tired but it was too late to take a nap so we stayed up and played. She noticed that my toenails were painted (I got a pedicure) and wanted hers done as well. Only she wanted to do them!

I am trying to use this week and weekend to just enjoy family and remember the sacrifice that Christ made for me! Many Easter pictures to come!

Laid Back Weekend

After a long week we were so excited to have a laid back weekend! Friday night was family movie night and we watched Open Season 3 (by the way we never saw 1 or 2) Andy was so exhausted that he fell asleep on the couch and Savannah wanted to lay with Daddy. A real man will take off the manly blanket and put on a princess blanket to snuggle with his little girl! Saturday we spent hanging out around the house. I cleaned while Savannah watched a movie and then we played outside some. Andy had a worship thing in the morning and when he got home we all took naps. My parents came over around 5 and took Savannah so Andy and I could go on a date. We got back at 10:00 and look what we found...Savannah had worked Papa into not going to bed. Look at those smiles! Sunday mornings are a little strange in our house. Andy leaves by 7:30 so I get up and shower before he leaves. Savannah normally wakes up right around the time he is leaving. I normally put Savannah on the couch to watch a movie while I get ready and then I get her ready. I was in the room getting ready and when I came out I saw stickers everywhere!
After church and a nap, Savannah decided to pull everything out. Including the couch cusions...she loves to jump on the springs of the couch.
Daddy had a prayer meeting at church Sunday night but when he got home he made time to wrestle with Savannah before bed. Can you tell she is a Daddy's girl?

Finally here is Bruce at 37 weeks. He is low but still not engaged although I have been having some major pains Sunday afternoon and evening so we shall see. It is odd because I would cry everyday I didn't have Savannah, but with Bruce I am just relaxed and here.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Wedded Wednesday

Does your husband ever get the short end of the stick?

My dad always says, "Excuses are like ButtHoles everyone has one and they all stink."

Well I think my husband has gotten all the excuses in the book lately...

-I'm tired (we all know what that is about)

-I'm 9 months pregnant and just...

-We are so busy - Baseball, Track, Church, Etc.

-Savannah needs this right now

-We still have to get Bruce's room ready

-Fill in the blank

I have basically said, "We have plenty of time, after all we are going to spend the rest of our lives together."

God has really hit me lately that I need to make my husband feel special. That doesn't mean it always have to be in the bedroom either. (sorry TMI for family) After almost 5 years of marriage I know what Andy needs to feel appreciated, loved, and admired. Yet, how often do I do this?

So my challenge to myself and to those of you that read my blog. Do you make your husband feel appreciated, love, and admired. If you are like me the answer is "sometimes." So I challenge you this week and weekend to do just that. Let him know that he is #1 in your life and he doesn't take a backburner!

Retreat weekend and weekend with Pa!

This weekend Andy and I had the opportunity to go on the MissionAll retreat that our church put on. The main focus of this was to teach us how to me missionaries. It was a great weekend for both Andy and I. One thing I realized was that I have not been very intential about doing my part spreading the word of God. I hope and pray that I can take what we learned this weekend and start putting into practice. Another great thing about the retreat was getting to be childless and getting to know some new people. I love our church and the people. God has blessed us with a great group of friends but this weekend I also wanted to get to know some that I don't really talk to. Since Savannah stayed home we were able to stay up late and hang out with people. Andy even played basketball (or attempted too) with the guys! While Andy and I were at the retreat, Savannah stayed home and spent the weekend with Pa! I tried to not call or text to many times and Pa did a great job of sending me photos and updates. Savannah had a great time and may have played her Pa some but thats what grandparents are for...Right? Here are a couple text pictures I got this weekend: About to ride the train at the mall...look how grown up she looks! Saturday night with Aunt Amy...Savannah has her PJ's on and her new boots...sorry the picture is so dark! I was so excited to get home on Sunday and see Savannah. Of course we had to have some milk and Oreos!

It is going to be a crazy week and I may not get a lot of posts up. Let's just say I am so looking forward to Friday night at home! I will be gone every night this week until at least 10 but probably later!

One last thing: Please keep Andy's Memaw in your prayers as she is battling cancer. Andy's mom is in Odessa with her and Papaw and I know that they could all use your prayers for wisdom and rest!
