Blessed Birthday!

Birthday's have always been a big deal in my family! I loved that my parents always made the day so special growing up.
This year Andy and I have been so busy that he tried to find a day for us to celebrate but we just couldn't. On Sunday he told me he was sorry that we couldn't really do anything this year but that he would make up for it. My actual birthday is tomorrow December 8th and we always go out to eat with my parents to Texas Land and Cattle (my favorite) so I just figured that was all we were going to do.
Monday night is our bible study night. It is normally at our house but after the weekend I had, Andy told me that Jill had offered to have it at her house. Andy told me it wasn't starting until 7:30 since she had to work. So when I got home he said we were going to get something to eat before we left. Little did I know that at Red Robin my community group plus a few others were waiting to surprise me! It was so great and I love the night! Thanks babe for making it special and surprising me...I love you!

Our big Table...19 adults and three kiddos with three babies on the way!

Laura, Becky, and Jill...Becky is having Caden any day and we can't wait! I told her that December 8th is a great day!

Last year Andy and I found a street in Cedar Park that did a huge Christmas night display so before we went to eat we went to see the lights. This year, Savannah walked the street with us and loved all the lights. She was very interested in the deer that moved their heads!

Sneak Peek!

Here is a sneak peek at our Christmas pictures...they turned out great and I wish I didn't have to chose just one for the card! In the mail soon!

It's beginning ot look a lot like Christmas!

I love Christmas I and I love decorating!! Here are a couple pictures of our house this year. I could have taken more but it was early this morning when I thought of it and I thought I would just show you my favorite spots.
Sorry the pictures are a little blurry not really sure why?

Savannah in front of our tree this morning...I am going to try to take pictures of some ornaments. Each ornament on our tree means something to me and this year while putting them on, Savannah and I talked about what they all meant. She loves going to some of them and telling me what they are.
We also have a Christmas tradition...each year we get a Hallmark ornament that means something to Savannah and then one that means something to Mommy and Daddy.
This year, Savannah's ornament is Shrek. She loves this movie and watches it all the TIME!!
Our ornament is Andy Griffith because Andy was named after him and if we are having a girl you might here a name from that show as well!

Here is our Mantle. We have three pictures of Savannah with Santa from each year. I am a little worried this years may turn out like last years...a screaming child! We also added the present this year...isn't it beautiful! I love it and it fits perfect!

Elmo is hanging on Savannah's door

Savannah's tree...she put the wreath and a lollipop ornament on it. She also likes to sneak some of Mommy's ornaments and put them on her tree as well.

Our little plate with Snoopy!

Nativity area. I love Nativity scenes!
On a side note...we have a lot of muscial trinkets for Christmas. Most of them are within reach of Savannah. When she gets home or right before she goes to bed she loves to run around and turn them all on! It cracks us up.
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas Decorations as much as we are!

My Baby is growing up!

A couple weeks ago I told you that Savannah got our of her crib and we were off to the start of a big girl bed! Well, for three weeks Savannah slept on a toddler blow up mattress and did great...Andy's dad has been refinishing an old bed for Savannah and we were waiting until it was almost done to transition her again. This weekend we went out and bought Savannah her two mattresses to go on her bed. (which by the way is finished and from the pictures it is BEAUTIFUL!!) We will be getting her bed next weekend.
However, until then Savannah is on her two mattresses. The first 30 minutes that we laid the mattresses in her room she was jumping all around! We are three nights in and she is doing great...I think she loves it!
In about three weeks we will have the rest of her furniture in the room and I am working hard to get it ready before the new year into a big girl room!
I can't believe she is growing up so fast! We decided to stay with brown and pink but to have some color. I found this awesome girly comforter set at Target and we are decorating the room according to this. I will show the finished project when we are done!

Here is Savannah in her bed the first night talking to Pa and Ma on Skype!

By the way 7 days in counting until ALABAMA!!! WE ARE SO READY!!!

Wordless Wednesday

It has been a crazy 5 days! We have all been sick with some sort of stomach bug but I had to get wordless wednesday up!

This picture is Savannah eating straight butter...GROSS!! I only let her eat one thing

It's been a hard couple of nights so on our way to school I normally find her like this within 3 minutes. By the way this time change is screwing me up!

Finally my happy baby is back...no longer sick!

Welcome to our crazy life!

Life is crazy right now. We are all battling to just get up and out the door on time with everything in hand.

This week I finished Volleyball Monday night. Had a basketball parent meeting on Tuesday night and started tryouts at 7:15 am on Wednesday. I have left my phone, my wallet, my school keys, my lunch, my clothes for the parent meeting, and my makeup (since I put it on at schoool) at home this week. Where is my brain?
I wanted to take this post and tell you about my husband! I know I have told you about Andy before but this week I have seen how truly blessed I am. He has literally taken Savannah to school and picked her up everyday. Mommy hasn't gotten home until at least 6 if not later. Which meant Daddy was in charge of dinner, baths, diapers, house cleaning, reading books, and helping tuck her in at night.

Andy has never complained or even handed her off as soon as I walk in the door. He is such a hands on daddy. When I appologized this week for my schedule and my absence this week his response was "Well I kinda like her, you know?"

Andy has always been a great husband and dad. After all he has learned from one of the best I know. But I think it took me this week to realize just how much he sacrifices for me and my job. Not only has he taken care of Savannah he has been my best friend, asking about my day, listening to his wife talk and talk! Then when it is finally time for bed he goes and works on Grad school. Amazing!
Thanks Babe! I love you so much!

I am BLESSED!!!
