Word Wednesday - Our little Elf

TOTs!

This year Savannah's school gave the kids an opportunity to participate in a program called
Teams of Tomorrow (TOTs)
They learn basketball skills and practice every Wednesday.
On Monday night Savannah and her group got to perform at halftime of the High School boys game.
She did a great job and we are so proud of her!

Our weekend!

This weekend was actually pretty low key.  Saturday morning we went to eat breakfast with Ma at Kerby lane (sorry no picture) and then headed to the mall to get the kids new shoes for Christmas.  Or course we had to ride the carosel before leaving!
Uncle Rob and Aunt Amy met up with us and Uncle Rob tried on the coat with elbow pads :)
We headed downtown with them to the Armardillo Christmas Bazaar (again no picture) and enjoyed the time shopping around local Austin vendors.  We also were able to attend some friends Christmas party before we headed to do a tradition in the Harvey household.
There is a street in Cedar Park that has an amazing lights.  Every house is lit up and they tell the Night before Christmas.  We have gone to this every year since Savannah was a baby and I love seeing both Savannah and Bruce's face this year!
I am a sucker for Christmas lights.
This is our last week at school before Christmas break.  On a serious note my heart is broken for the people of CT.  As a teacher and a mom there are no words to say.  But as a Christ follower I know that this tragedy is because of sin and I also know that it is my job to love and protect my students as well as my children.  I love my students (even the ones that drive me crazy) and it is my job to protect and love them.  So as I came to school today I said a little prayer for all of my students as well as their parents.  God is good all the time!

Now this week at the kids school is a fun dress up week.  Each day is something different and today was crazy hat day!
are my kids not the cutest thing!
We have a lot of fun activities scheduled this week and I will be posting lots but tomorrow I will join the blogging community and have a day of silence for the victims and families of CT.

30th birthday weekend!

Saturday, December 8th I turned 30!  This weekend we had a lot of fesitvies planned and I was so excited for all of them!  It started Friday night, Jill and I took Savannah to the Domain for a girls night!
The Domain has free carriage rides during December so we got in like and Savannah was so excited to ride on the carriage
After the carriage ride we ate at CPK and then walked around some before leaving
As we were leaving Macy's had a place that you could write a letter to Santa and mail it off.  Savannah was so excited and again asked Santa for some lip gloss!
Saturday morning Andy and the kids let me sleep in (until 7:30) and then made me some Cinnamon Toast!
We ran a couple of arrons and met the Hatch's for lunch before coming home to get ready for our night!
My parents watched the kids while we went out!  I had to have a picture with the 2 people that brought me into the world!
We went to Fo Go De Chao for dinner and it was amazing!
Jill actually had my camera in this picture and it was set on self timer...I couldn't stop laughing!
After Dinner we headed to my favorite food trailer...Gourdough's!  It is amazing but I probably gained 5 lbs!
 My Doughnut!
All the girls that came to celebrate!
My best friend Jill! I love her!
 All the Men
Even sweet Amelia Rose met us for some doughnuts!
Thanks to my Husband who planned the whole thing!  We had a blast and I love you!

Santa Picture 2012

We have had our picture taken with this Santa since Savannah was 3 months old!  This year was so easy and they did a great job!  Plus, Savannah told Santa all she wanted was lip gloss!

Christmas Decor 2012

I love Christmas and I love to decorate.  I am hoping to get some mesh on sale this year after Christmas because I have seen some cute things with it.  Also hoping to get another tree to add to our collection but we will see.
This year I had to hang the stockings from our curtain rod because our TV is in front of the fireplace.  Savannah asked me the other night..."How is Santa going to get in through the chimney."
I try to take almost all of our decorations off the wall for Christmas ones each year!
I collect Nativity's and I love displaying them on the table...I do have most of the willow tree collection which is on the table in the above picture.
We also have a tree in both kids rooms...again after Christmas I am going to get more ornaments for Bruce's tree.  His Elmo stocking sings and every time we change his diaper he says Elmo!
Savannah wanted to decorate her own tree this year and although I wanted to fix it I let her have it the way she wanted it...I even tried to fluff it up but she didn't want help.
We finally put out our lawn decor this year! Andy and I bought this the year we moved into the house but have never put it out.  We only have one outlet outside and it is in the backyard so it makes it hard to put something in the front.

Hope you are all ready for the Christmas season...I can't wait for all of our adventures we have planned for the next couple of weeks.  Now if the weather would just realize that it is not spring or summer we would be good to go!
