Snow day!

It finally snowed in Austin! The flakes were huge (TX huge) during school today and by 12:15 we were dismissed to come home early! We also get to sleep in tomorrow...school starts 2 hours late!
After Savannah woke up from her nap we decided to take her outside for a little while.

Trying to get a family picture...she just wanted down

Not so sure about sitting in the snow

Savannah and Mommy

Building a snow man with Daddy!

She wanted to go down her slide...until she realized she would get wet

But all she really wanted to do was eat it!

Snow!

It is snowing in Austin, Texas! We are at school but don't worry I will post pictures when I get home with Savannah!

Happy Birthday Ma!

I know you have heard it before but I have a great Mother in Law! Yesterday was her birthday and we wanted to wish her a great birthday!

Momma Harvey as I call her is an amazing woman! She loves her family with every inch of her body and is there for us when we need her to be! Her laugh is contagious, her excitement for the little things is awesome, and he love for God is HUGE! I know that if I ever need prayer she will be on her knees praying for me!
She raised three amazing, smart, and beautiful children. (with the help of Dad Harvey...of course)
She and Dad Harvey taught the kids how to laugh, cry, and truly enjoy family! There aren't many moments in our visits that we aren't laughing and cutting up.

She loves Savannah with her entire heart. Savannah loves to play peek a boo with Ma because of Ma's reaction to her. (it is so cute!)

She accepted me into her family as if I were her own and has loved me whole heartedly!

But most of all she and Dad Harvey have shown Andy and I (along with my parents) what it is like to be in a happy, loving, and Godly marriage!

We love you Ma and hope you had a great birthday!
Can't wait to see you next weekend!

Savannah loves Pa and Ma!

For Christmas we got Andy's parents Skype so that we can see them every week and Savannah can see them as well. She knows who all of her Alabama family is and constantly is going to there pictures and pointing. This is what we kept seeing today...she loves her Ma and Pa!
And yes I realize that in every video she isn't wearing pants...we either just got her up from a nap or changed her diaper!

Our Weekend

We had a great Valentines Weekend! Andy and I loved Fredricksburg! The Rock Box theater was awesome and we are planning on going back soon! There was a guest band from Canada playing and they were great! We both think they will make it big in Country soon. Check them out at www.highvalleymusic.com

When we got back it town we went to the first baseball game and then spent time just the three of us!
Sunday we went to church...enjoyed lunch with friends...ate dinner at the house and watched TV.
Here are some pictures of our little Valentine in her cute outfit! Notice the pigtails!

Hope you all had a great Valentines! Enjoy your week!

Daddy makes me excited!

If I haven't told you before...Savannah is a Daddy's girl! When we get home from school this is what I get to witness.

Savannah loves to Dance!

Save time to Date

Louie Gigglio is an amazing man of God who has devoted his life to traveling around and speaking God's truth to college aged students.

In the fall of 2001 I went on my first trip with the BSM to a conference called Focus. Louie Gigglio and Chris Tomlin were supposed to be there and to be honest I had no idea who they were. Friday night when Louie got up to talk he about baggage in people's lifes and how God just wants you to lay it at his feet. While talking he was telling a story about his girlfriend of 20+ years and a date they had recently. Now, being a 18 year old college freshman who was hoping to find my husband in college I thought...really 20+ years and you still haven't asked her to marry you. I would be like HIT THE ROAD DUDE!
However, shortly after he started the story he said that the girlfriend he was referring to was actually his wife but they made it a pack that they would continue to date throughout their marriage. WOW, i thought and I remember thinking How cute!

Fast forward a year and I meet this red haired guy named Andy...we start dating...fall in love...break up...get back together...fall madly in love...get married...and start our lives.
During marriage counseling Andy and I talked about continuing to date while we were married specially once we were parents.

I am happy to say that after almost 4 years of marriage and 2 years of being parents we still date! Although our dates have changed from crazy adventures, to driving 2 hours one way to go see something, to movie/date, to Sonic we still find time to date one another. No, we don't go as often as we would like but when we get a chance we are gone.

So with Valentines going up...my parents said they would watch Savannah on Friday night for us to do whatever we would like. Then they called and said they got us tickets to a show in Fredricksburg.
Andy and I are so excited and we are actually going to spend the night in Fredricksburg. Mind you this is only the 3rd time I have been away from Savannah at night.

I am so excited to spend another Valentines with the love of my life!

If you still date your husband or you are dating in the austin area and have ideas for fun dates let me know...we are always looking for new places to go.
What are your plans for Valentines Day?

Here you go Mommy...

With Valentines Day upon us...Savannah has a nice collection of Valentines clothes from her cousin. This morning I put her in a cute heart jump suit from Addisyn. And I almost started to cry...call me emotional but she looks so grown up.
Every morning when I am dressed and Savannah is dressed we sit down in the bedroom and Savannah plays while I put on make-up...this happens to be one of my favorite parts of the day.

Well, while I was trying to hold back tears this morning because my baby is growning up, I picked up the camera for some fun shots of copying and giving to Mommy!

My sweet smile!

What? It doesn't go in my mouth?
Okay I know she puts on this but is it before or after this contraptions

I figured it out...she needs this one first

Here Mommy!

No bath time for me!

Savannah has always loved the bath but not yesterday. After having spagetti and oreos at dinner she needed a bath. Andy stripped her to her diaper while he ran water and she came running back into where I was. (sorry the pictures were so blurry...they are with Andy's iphone)

When Andy picked her up she cried and cried...which is very unusual for bath time so Andy decided he would just get it with her. When he called for me to come help this is what I found. Of course, he didn't think to take off his clothes. Savannah loved it!

Happy 30th Birthday Ryan!

I love my brother! He is truly one of my best friends! I can't believe he will be 30 on Febuary 10th! Here are a few pictures from his party!
Happy Birthday Ryan! We love you!

Mommy and Savy take Irving!

This weekend Savannah and I left for our first trip with out Daddy. My brother Ryan is turning 30 in a couple of days and my sister in law was throwing him a Surprise Party (more on that in a later post).
We had a great weekend and a side from a couple of hours it was a girls only weekend! We both stayed up way to late both nights (Savannah until at least 9 and I didn't hit the hay until 1 am and 2 am) I know I have said it many times but I love my family!
Our weekend started early on Friday with a Carlton lunch. My mom and her sisters are on a cruise this week for my Aunt Lory's 50th birthday. Aunt Lory lives in Colorado and the last time I got to see her was the week Savannah was born. So I took a half day on Friday and met Aunt Lory, Aunt Paula, my Mom, and my cousin Kristen for lunch.

After lunch Savannah and I headed to Irving. I must say I was a little worried traveling so far with Savannah by myself...but no worries my daughter is a world traveler! She slept from Austin to West (which is about 15 miles north of Waco). We stopped in West for the Kolaches and were back on the road. She watched Elmo and did great in the car!

Once we got to Mama's we were waiting on all the girls and Aunt Jenny to go to dinner. Mama has two dogs and Elvis has two dogs. Well, Savannah loves dogs and apparently their cages as well...I went to the restroom and came back to find this!

Saturday we all just hung out and played. Savannah, Jenny, Kaitlyn and I went to run a few arrons but for the most part we didn't do anything until it was time for Ryan's party

Jennifer did a great job planning Ryan's party and it was a lot of fun...Here are a couple pictures

While waiting for the room to be ready they have saddles to sit on...Savannah loved them!

My cousins...Misty, Hannah, and Kaitlyn

We had a great weekend but were ready to get home and see Daddy!

Groundhogs day

6 more weeks of winter...oh well I am living Mommy's philosophy...Eat more Candy!

Daddy's Girl!

Confession: I am 27 years old, married, and mother yet I am and will always be a DADDY'S GIRL!!!

So it only makes since that Savannah is the same way! Yesterday after Mommy had a couple of not so fun doctor appointments...I was making dinner while Andy and Savannah were playing in the ball pit. Check out the pictures I got...let's say that going to the dentist and having your mouth worked on and then laughing alot doesn't feel great but so worth it!
I know you can't see her face but Andy was hiding behind the trash can and they were throwing the balls at each other as he came up.

He got her!

This is what I live for!
