Our weekend!

Our weekend plans changed due to everything that happened earlier in the week but we adapted and had a great weekend with the four of us!
Savannah was invited by the cheerleaders last week to join them before the last home game. She was so excited and we didn't want to disappoint her so we decided to take her and then leave when they head out for the game. On the way to school, Bruce had an accident so Andy took him home and I took Savannah to the high school. Papa had to take a bus back to the bus barn before the game so we rode along!

Savannah thought it was so cool that Papa was the bus driver!

Once we got back we headed to the cheerleaders locker room!

Here is Savannah with her favorite Varsity Cheerleaders! They are so great to her!

Savannah meeting the captain :)

In her zone!

In Case you didn't know we are the reigning state champs 4 years in a row! Each home came the band, cheerleaders, and football players march in together...

Most of these boys I taught in MS so this year is extra special for me :)

After the game we went home and decided to give Bruce baby food for the first time. He LOVED IT!

The only problem is he would try to grab the spoon and baby food was all over the dining room :)

Sweet Potatoes...
Of course after that he was in need of a bath. Savannah loves to help us with the bath...since she can't take one with him because of his arm she makes him laugh and splashs the water all over the place!

After baths Andy and Savannah made popcorn...Savannah thought the one on the stove was so cool!

And finally they crashed!

We are die hard Cowboy fans so we decided to dress up in our cowboys gear for church Sunday morning!

To bad the team didn't do that good but my team sure looked cute!

Dell Childrens-I love to hate you!

Sunday afternoon Bruce seemed very irritated when we picked him up or touched his arm. At Bath time we found this.

Alarmed we called the doctor and they told us we could wait until the morning or head to Dell. We decided to wait and went to the doctor 1st thing in the morning

Our pediatrician immediately sent us to a surgeon where they told us that they would do surgery to drain or remove the mass.

Turning over my baby was by far one of the hardest things I have ever done...about 30 minutes later they told us he was awake and we could see him.

After about an hour in recovery we headed to our room. Surgery went well and they placed a drain in the arm to continue to drain the mass.

Although I am not a big fan of being in the hospital...Dell Childrens is amazing and try's to make you feel as home as you can.

After we got to our room they got Bruce settled and Papa and Savannah came to get Daddy and see Bruce.

Savannah was very concerned for her brother and just rubbed his arm. Andy and I decided that I would stay and he would go home with Savannah. Bruce went to sleep around 8:30 and woke up at 3.

He decided that he would stay awake from 3-6...but at least he was happy!

Poor baby not so happy when we took off the bandage and gave him a bath...see the red thing that is the drain.

We were released by 2 this afternoon and were very happy to e home! We have to clean the wound 3 times a day and make sure it continues to go down.

Once again-Dell Childrens you are great but I hope we don't see you again!!

She Said YES!!!

Many of you know that I am very close to my cousins. It seems like yesterday we were little kids playing at family get together! Now we are either in college, or graduated starting our own families! Saturday we had to privilege to be a part of my cousin Kristen's engagement! I have know about it for a little over a week but didn't think I would be able to go because I thought I would be in Florida. (so Randi...it's good that Alex waited :))
The plan was to meet everyone at an HEB and head out to a ranch around 12 on Saturday. Andrew was going to take Kristen out in the morning and when they got back to the house we would all be there to celebrate!
The house was beautiful and two horses were in the field behind it...which Savannah loved!
Looking at the horses and enjoying the beautiful weather!

Bruce with my Aunt Paula...check out the pretty decorations

Andrew's mom had cups made

And napkins :)

While we waited Kristen's Papa took Savannah to see the horses...while Andy talked to my cousin Jake and Uncle Rick (see there is red hair on my side)

Savannah walking back from the horses...she was so excited because she got to pet the horse

After about 30 minutes Andrew and Kristen were on their way back!

She was shocked to see everyone there!

I would say there were about 30 people...some that came in from out of town

I love this picture...she was embarrassed!

Savannah loves Kristen and was so excited when I said she would be getting married

She even asked if she could see her ring...it is beautiful!

Congrats to Kristen and Andrew! We can't wait to celebrate with you on the big day!

Unfortunately we had to leave because Bruce got sick but I know they had a great time. Love you guys!

Could she get any cuter!

Trying to get Savannah to stand still for a few minutes is a hard task! I have been meaning to put up these pictures of Homecoming for a week or so but things got in my way.
Savannah loved everything about homecoming this year. Papa got her a mum that was considered a "mini" but on here it was huge! She was so excited to wear it around her next like the big girls!

Some of my former students are now cheerleaders and love Savannah. She loves the attentions he gets from these girls! In fact they have invited her into the cheer room before this Friday's home game :)

Saturday night Savannah and Bruce both got sick. They stayed home with Papa on Sunday while Daddy and Mommy went to church and Sunday night although she didn't feel great she wanted to play dress up. What better way than to just put on a tutu and Mommy's shoes!

Again trying to get her to look at the camera....well!

We are so in love with this little girl and she makes us smile everyday! She has a huge personality and no one is a stranger.

Love you Savannah Grace!
