MIA

Sorry that I have been MIA from the blog some this summer. To tell you the truth we are just having fun and very busy that I haven't had much time to write.

This blog is where I tell the everyday stories of our family. I love blogging and love reading others blogs. Tomorrow is officially August and that means that school is just around the corner. I have 3 days of volleyball starting tomorrow and today Andy is sick. But life goes on and we work around it. Thankful that although he doesn't feel good he is a great Daddy and Husband and is going to suck it up...even if it means wearing a mask so that the kids don't get sick. :)

Pray for us as we start getting back into the school and craziness! We are going to work on saying no to some things so our calendar doesn't get so crazy this year! Also, pray for the illnesses...we need to stay healthy this year and after this summer we sure deserve it!

I will leave you with two of my favorite things...in the mornings while Mommy and Daddy are getting ready Savannah and Bruce watch Sesame Street...reminds me of Ryan and I when we were little!

Beach 2011!

This past week we had the oppurtunity to go with my family to Port Aransas for a week long vacation! I love the beach and was excited to spend time in the water and see how Savannah would do. The first day she wasn't so sure about the ocean but by the second day she was fearless! Here are a couple of our pictures...if you would like to see all of them check out my facebook! Thanks again Dad and Mom for allowing this trip to take place!
Trying to get a good family picture but the wind wasn't having it!

Ryan, Samantha, and Addisyn!

Andy and I enjoyed the Segway tour so much in San Antonio that we talked Ryan and Samantha into going on one with us in Corpus!

We also were able to tour the USS Lexington...let's just say I could never be in the Navy!

Feeding the seagulls!

Papa and Nana rented a golf cart one day and we were able to drive around the island and on the beach!

Bruce wasn't so happy!

On Wednesday we went into Corpus and went the the Aquarium

Our family!

My awesome parents!

NO Kinnan trip is complete without a little baseball!

Just a fun photo spot in Port A!

We had a great time and can't wait until next year!

5 years Get-a-way

Andy and I had the oppurtunity to go to San Antonio for our 5th anniversary! We had a great time but it was pretty weird to be without the kids!
Friday night we went on the Riverwalk and ate dinner and then called it a night early. We went back to the hotel and watched the Dilema on the TV.

Saturday morning we decided to get up a little early before our Segway tour and go to the Alamo. Everytime we go it is so crowed that it was really cool to just look at it in silence. Andy also told me some interesting facts that I didn't know about the Alamo. I am married to a Texas History teacher after all!

The view from our balcony!

We have always wanted to go on a Segway tour and since we had some extra cash we decided to do the 2.5 hour tour of San Antonio. It was so much fun...although you do get what they call Seg Leg :) We saw parts of San Antonio we had never seen before and really enjoyed ourselves!

About to ride!

Andy in front of the church that claims to have the ashes of the people that died at the Alamo...see they casket in the back

Loved my pink seg way...in front of the Riverwalk!

Saturday night we got dressed up and went to Fogo de Chao...IT WAS SO GOOD!!! If you ever have a chance to go you should. It does cost some money but it was our 5 year anniversary!

Our dessert!

We sat and talked about how we couldn't believe it had been 5 years! I love Andy so much more than I did on July 15, 2006...I count on him for everything and can't imagine my life without him! He is my best friend!

We thought this was a funny way of saying "Do Not Disturb!" It reads

Brain Storm

It's really coming down in here. Better wait till it clears up :)

So this is a picture of where it all started...we went to Festival Con Dios in the parking lot of this mall. Andy held my hand :)

And of course no Anniversary trip would be complete without a stop at our favorite place!

Thanks Dad and Mom for watching Savannah and Bruce we had a great time!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Happy birthday Nana! Thank you for loving and supporting our family!

Mom-I couldn't ask for a better mom and Nana! You are one of my best friends and I don't know what I would do without you.

Happy birthday!!

5 years!

I can't believe that 5 years ago I was getting ready for my wedding! It was a great morning and even better day! What an amazing 5 year ride we have been on! I look back at these pictures and wonder what I would have said if I knew that at 5 years we would have 2 kids! I couldn't imagine a better partner in my life!

Andy -

I have said it all a number of times but I love you so much! You are my best friend, the one who knows everything and still loves me, and the father of our children! I can't imagine what I would do without you in my life!

This weekend we are heading to San Antonio just the two of us for a little get a way! I am so excited! Thank you Dad and Mom for watching Savannah and Bruce while we go.

What a week! This week was Backyard Bible Club for our church and Savannah had a blast at the Higgins house. We spend most of the days outside...enjoying the sun and heat. (remember when we were kids and had no idea how hot it actually was outside!)
Here are a couple pictures from our week...enjoy!
Getting ready to spend the time outside soaking up the sun!
