Fun times at the Harvey's

This past weekend and week have been busy but when we are home we are having so much fun together. Although Bruce is everywhere it is so fun to watch him at this age. Savannah and Bruce love each other so much and we are constantly laughing at the both of them.
When Savannah was little I found a website that said turn your pack n play into a ball pit. She loved it so we decided to try it with Bruce as well. He is having fun but I think Savannah still likes it more. But when she is in the pit most of the balls are out!
Look at how big he is getting :( He is rocking a Bruce Springsteen shirt

Saturday night Uncle Rob and Aunt Amy came over for dinner. We hadn't seen them in a couple of weeks and were so excited they were coming. Aunt Amy surprised Savannah with cupcakes that needed to be decorated!

I thought Savannah looked so cute Sunday morning...she wanted to where her vest and boots so we did. Notice she has the fake smile down

My crawling machine...notice the mohawk!

My cute babies after bath! I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!

Savannah's new favorite spot...yes it is on the back of the couch.

Before kids I always said we wouldn't let them do this or that...then I became a parent and learned to pick my battles...this is one that we don't mind.

Hope you are all having a great week! I have my last basketball tournament this weekend and then into Febuary we go!

Tuesday Tidbits

What's going on in the Harvey household?
-Bruce is everywhere...his new favorite thing is to go down the hall and into the kids bathroom
-When he sees you coming he tries to go faster
-Because he is a mover we are looking into more gates for our house as well as shutting doors!
-Savannah has learned how to throw a fit and although it doesn't work with us she has tried...which means we are being tested and it is no fun!
-Even though Savannah is testing us she loves to tell us she loves us!
-Savannah and Bruce love to wrestle each other and when Daddy joins in I cant stop laughing!
-I will be so ready when this month is over...payday is next week!
-Andy only has 2 more classes left in grad school and we are so proud and excited!
-I am already planning both kids birthday parties and Andy's grad party - I know I am a planner!
-Savannah's class party in Feb 14th and the theme is Candy Land...I am in charge of decorations and I am so excited for my ideas-lets just hope they look as cute made as they do in my head!
-Eating right and working out is going well...for the most part I am proud of myself now I am just ready for the scale to show it
-Baseball season starts Friday for my Dad and Brother which means BUSY! But so exciting! Can't wait to watch LT play as well as get up to Dallas to watch Ranchview!
-We are in the process of getting people to come out and look at our bathroom and give us estimates...here's to hoping our bathroom is done this summer :)
-On that note I really wish we had a maid...although Savannah loves to help Mommy clean :)

Thats all for now...I could go on and on but I won't

One more thing...DOES LAUNDRY EVER END!

Who knew so many babies were born in January!

The past three weekends we have been invited to 6 different parties. Unfortantely we were only able to attend 3. Sorry Isaiah, Kyler, and Samuel but hope you had a great party!
Saturday the kids and I got up and left for Sophia's Elmo party at 8:45. Thinking I was going to be late I rushed to the McClarty's house only to find out the party didn't start until 10 not 9 :( We stayed for a little while but had plans to be at the baseball field at 10:30 so we had to leave right when the party was really starting!

After about an hour at the baseball field and naps-Savannah and I headed to pick up Emily and then go to Jaxson's party. Savannah and Emily have known each other since they were in Ashley and my belly! I remember telling Ashley I was having a girl and we were so excited that they would grow up together!

Savannah and Emily are like sisters. They love each other one minute and hate each other the next! Jaxson's party was at the hoppin house and the girls were so excited because most of their class was there!

Savannah going down the big slide!

Nina, Emily, and Savannah in the foam pit
After the party Savannah and I headed home to have dinner with Uncle Rob and Aunt Amy...put not before we made our own ball pit!

Don't mind Bruce's snotty nose...he is struggling with allergies!

after the ball pit the kids wrestled with Daddy while I cooked.
I have more pictures from our weekend and will post when I have my camera sd card (these are all from my phone) But I will leave you with at smile...

Happy Monday!

Blessed by siblings!

If you guys have read my blog before you know that I have said many times how extremely blessed I am. I decide that I am going to do a couple posts through out the year of some of my blessings. My biggest blessings are Andy, Savannah and Bruce and you see them most blogs.
My first blessing post is going to be about my siblings! I read a quote the other day that said "Be good to your siblings...They are the closest link to your past and the ones most likely to be there with you in the future."
My brother Ryan:

Ryan and I have always been close. Don't get me wrong there were times in our lives that we wanted to kill each other and times where we didn't talk as much as we would have liked but I love my brother! Other than Andy I talk to Ryan about everything. Ryan has stood by my side at my wedding and been there for the birth of both my children. When Andy and I found out we were having a boy I knew I wanted him to be named after Ryan somehow. Once we decided on Bruce it was only natural that Ryan would be his middle name.

Ryan has been through a lot the past 2 years but he has come out strong and so happy (thanks largely in part to Samantha). I am so proud of Ryan and love him very much! Words could truly never express how much my brother means to me!

My sister in loves Randi, Amy, and Samantha! Yes, I said Sister in loves not Sister in Laws. Growing up I loved having a brother but always wanted a sister as well. I married into a family with 2 great sisters and now Ryan married Samantha and I am so excited to have 2 sisters!

Randi (on the right) is 1 year older than Andy which makes her about 6 months older than me. Randi is the type of person you can call with anything. She is the person that when something is wrong with my kids I call or text and she gets on the computer and figures out what needs to be done or what can help. When I was pregnant with Savannah we went to Atlanta together and in the morning I woke up spotting. I called her room at 5:30 in the morning and told her what was going on...my MIL said get dressed and we will get you to the hospital. Randi got on the phone called the hospital and told them what was going on...by the time we were there they knew who I was and what was going on and got me right back. I love Randi so much and miss seeing her as often as we would like!

Amy Catherine (the one in the middle) is about 3 years younger than Andy. Amy is so different from Andy yet the same in so many ways! Amy could quote a line from a movie or tv show at the drop of the hat. If you say a phrase or word to her that is in song she will start singing and dancing away. Amy and her husband Rob live about 5 minutes from us and we are so thankful! Amy always knows how to make us laugh and is someone I can tell and say anything too and she won't get offended. The day I had Bruce, Amy came up about 5 pm...I saw her just as I was getting ready to really start the end of the labor...she rubbed my foot and told me how excited she was to meet Bruce and then started singing Born in the USA...I cracked up! When she held Bruce for the first time she just cried! I love you Amy!

Samantha

I have only known Samantha for a year but I feel like we have been family forever. When she started dating Ryan he told me this is the one. Ryan had been through a lot in the year before and I was a little protective. We met Samantha the weekend before I had Bruce, without missing a beat she was talkative, funny, and so friendly towards us and my family! Samantha has made my brother so happy and has filled our house with even more laughter than it already have...and she loves baseball! I talk to Samantha daily either through text, email, or phone. I am so happy and thankful that I love my brothers wife and we can talk just like sisters!

My Brothers in love Daryl and Rob!
Rob Crowl (the one in the back) we met the night after Andy and I got engaged! Amy had told us about her new boyfriend and I was anxious about meeting him. To be honest I really dont remember anything about that night other than he was a lot taller than Amy. When Rob and Amy got engaged and told us they wanted to move to Austin we were so excited! Austin is the city they were meant to live in! Rob moved in with Andy and I for about 3 weeks and I really feel like we got to know him even better. I also learned that he was going to be the one person in the Harvey family that cares more about sports than me. (except he jumped ship from the Cowboys and went to the Patriots!) We love Rob and are so thankful he loves Amy!

Daryl Amos (Andy is on his back) we met at Savannah's first Christmas. We all prayed for Daryl so much even though we didn't know his name. He is exactly the man for Randi and we love that about him. Daryl is a big teddy bear but can play some mean guitar hero! Daryl is very passionate about his family and would do anything for us. He is the type of guy that tells Randi let's drive from Florida to Austin on a friday to meet Bruce and then leave Sunday morning to be back at work on Monday. Daryl loves my children with all his heart and I am so happy and excited to watch him be Daddy to my nephew Alex.

Can you say Blessed! I love each of you very much and don't know what I would do with out you in my life. Thank you for loving and supporting Andy and I. Savannah and Bruce love their Uncles and Aunts so much and always look forward to seeing you. So come see us soon! :)

Oh Crap She's Up!

I saw something the other day on Pintrest that said: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says "oh crap she's up. The devil is such a pest! Ever wonder why something is happening? Lately I just want to ask God...Why? There are some mean people I this world. And yet I am told to pray for them because even they need Jesus. This week my church has web participating in a fast and prayer time to prepare us for 2012. Can I just say that Satan is attacking! But I will be that person! "Oh crap Claire is up!" That's right Satan and I know that my God will not give me or my family anymore than we can handle! Father God, You haven given me so many blessings in my life! I wish I could return the favors more than I do. Thank you for loving me and my family just the way we are. I am asking you to help us stand firm and trust in your plan. You know what is going on and I pray that we will find favor in your eyes. Love Claire - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Wordless Wednesday

Bruce is 8 months!

Our sweet boy turned 8 months old on Friday! I can't even believe it!
Bruce, you have been through so much in your short life and yet you are always smiling! A couple things you are doing at 8 months:
-crawling (by the way Savannah didn't start until 9 months)
-standing
-you are into everything!
-you are ALL BOY!
-no one can make you smile like your sissy!
-you still wake up about once through the night
-you eat three meals a day with bottles in between
-you are starting to eat solid foods...we love watching your face when you try something new :)
-you have 8 teeth!
-when you get excited you lean your head back and belly laugh with your entire mouth open!

We love you so much Bruce! And we can't wait to see you grow!
