Blessed by siblings!

If you guys have read my blog before you know that I have said many times how extremely blessed I am. I decide that I am going to do a couple posts through out the year of some of my blessings. My biggest blessings are Andy, Savannah and Bruce and you see them most blogs.
My first blessing post is going to be about my siblings! I read a quote the other day that said "Be good to your siblings...They are the closest link to your past and the ones most likely to be there with you in the future."
My brother Ryan:

Ryan and I have always been close. Don't get me wrong there were times in our lives that we wanted to kill each other and times where we didn't talk as much as we would have liked but I love my brother! Other than Andy I talk to Ryan about everything. Ryan has stood by my side at my wedding and been there for the birth of both my children. When Andy and I found out we were having a boy I knew I wanted him to be named after Ryan somehow. Once we decided on Bruce it was only natural that Ryan would be his middle name.

Ryan has been through a lot the past 2 years but he has come out strong and so happy (thanks largely in part to Samantha). I am so proud of Ryan and love him very much! Words could truly never express how much my brother means to me!

My sister in loves Randi, Amy, and Samantha! Yes, I said Sister in loves not Sister in Laws. Growing up I loved having a brother but always wanted a sister as well. I married into a family with 2 great sisters and now Ryan married Samantha and I am so excited to have 2 sisters!

Randi (on the right) is 1 year older than Andy which makes her about 6 months older than me. Randi is the type of person you can call with anything. She is the person that when something is wrong with my kids I call or text and she gets on the computer and figures out what needs to be done or what can help. When I was pregnant with Savannah we went to Atlanta together and in the morning I woke up spotting. I called her room at 5:30 in the morning and told her what was going on...my MIL said get dressed and we will get you to the hospital. Randi got on the phone called the hospital and told them what was going on...by the time we were there they knew who I was and what was going on and got me right back. I love Randi so much and miss seeing her as often as we would like!

Amy Catherine (the one in the middle) is about 3 years younger than Andy. Amy is so different from Andy yet the same in so many ways! Amy could quote a line from a movie or tv show at the drop of the hat. If you say a phrase or word to her that is in song she will start singing and dancing away. Amy and her husband Rob live about 5 minutes from us and we are so thankful! Amy always knows how to make us laugh and is someone I can tell and say anything too and she won't get offended. The day I had Bruce, Amy came up about 5 pm...I saw her just as I was getting ready to really start the end of the labor...she rubbed my foot and told me how excited she was to meet Bruce and then started singing Born in the USA...I cracked up! When she held Bruce for the first time she just cried! I love you Amy!

Samantha

I have only known Samantha for a year but I feel like we have been family forever. When she started dating Ryan he told me this is the one. Ryan had been through a lot in the year before and I was a little protective. We met Samantha the weekend before I had Bruce, without missing a beat she was talkative, funny, and so friendly towards us and my family! Samantha has made my brother so happy and has filled our house with even more laughter than it already have...and she loves baseball! I talk to Samantha daily either through text, email, or phone. I am so happy and thankful that I love my brothers wife and we can talk just like sisters!

My Brothers in love Daryl and Rob!
Rob Crowl (the one in the back) we met the night after Andy and I got engaged! Amy had told us about her new boyfriend and I was anxious about meeting him. To be honest I really dont remember anything about that night other than he was a lot taller than Amy. When Rob and Amy got engaged and told us they wanted to move to Austin we were so excited! Austin is the city they were meant to live in! Rob moved in with Andy and I for about 3 weeks and I really feel like we got to know him even better. I also learned that he was going to be the one person in the Harvey family that cares more about sports than me. (except he jumped ship from the Cowboys and went to the Patriots!) We love Rob and are so thankful he loves Amy!

Daryl Amos (Andy is on his back) we met at Savannah's first Christmas. We all prayed for Daryl so much even though we didn't know his name. He is exactly the man for Randi and we love that about him. Daryl is a big teddy bear but can play some mean guitar hero! Daryl is very passionate about his family and would do anything for us. He is the type of guy that tells Randi let's drive from Florida to Austin on a friday to meet Bruce and then leave Sunday morning to be back at work on Monday. Daryl loves my children with all his heart and I am so happy and excited to watch him be Daddy to my nephew Alex.

Can you say Blessed! I love each of you very much and don't know what I would do with out you in my life. Thank you for loving and supporting Andy and I. Savannah and Bruce love their Uncles and Aunts so much and always look forward to seeing you. So come see us soon! :)
