Class Pictures!

 These pictures crack me up!

First swim of 2012

We love water and swimming.  Savannah has been looking forward to the day when the pool opens at Papa and Nana's house.  This weekend it finally did so our usual Wednesday night date was at the pool and my parents house.  When we got there Savannah was so ready to get in but the pool was freezing!
First toes in and man it was cold!  Bruce was not a fan and was clinging to Nana for dear life!
Okay Plan B...lets see if the hot tub is too hot.  Mommy tried it first and it was just warm so in we went.
 Bruce still thinking about it.
Savannah was ready and got right in
Finally warmed up to the water...trying to get a picture of both kids in the pool together.
Bruce realizing that it was indeed fun...and started splashing
Savannah loves to jump so 1...2...3...
 Yeah!
 SPLASH!
Even though the big pool was a little cold for us we still made the most of it and plan to go try the big one again this weekend :)  Savannah is scheduled for swimming lessons this summer and I can't wait to see how she does.  For now Bruce will just enjoy his float and being held in the pool :)

A Bridal Tea for Kristen

This is the summer for weddings in my family!  Two of my favorite cousins are getting married with in 2 weeks of each other and Savannah is a flower girl in both!  Saturday we went to a Bridal Tea Shower for Kristen here in Austin.
Savannah was the hit of the party and loved getting attention!
The shower was at my Aunt Paula's friend house.  She and her husband have made their backyard into a beautiful garden with paths through out the property. Savannah loved it!  Here is Nana and Savannah in the backyard!
Of course I took advantage of the beautiful place and day to take some pictures of Savannah!
She had a ball and was posing like a professional!
We can't wait to see Kristen get married June 1st!

Play by Play after Papa's game

My kids love going to Papa's games!  Last night was grandparent night and they even got introduced with the team!  Andy does the announcing and I do the score book so the kids are with us in the press box during home games.  Bruce normally falls asleep around the 3rd inning and then wakes up again to go see Papa after the game!
 Another win for LT
Savannah telling Papa lets go out to the mound so I can help rake
 Bruce walking with Papa
Papa telling his boys where the clay is
Savannah telling Daniel to do it her way
 Bruce's future spot :)
Savannah decided that raking wasn't fun and so she ran around while Papa and Bruce raked.

We change the kids at the field and before we are out of the school parking lot they are normally fast asleep! I grew up on the baseball field and I love that my kids are getting to experience the same things!

I'm with the band...or Daddy!

Sunday's are always an interesting morning for our family.  Since Andy is the worship pastor at our church and we are a mobile church he leaves the house by 7:15-7:30 every Sunday.  I make sure I get my shower before he leaves but I am normally in a robe and barely awake when he leaves and the kids are still sleeping.
Some mornings I am totally spent and very frustrated when we are walking out the door.  After all I have a almost 4 year old and almost 1 year old on my hands.  Yesterday, we had one of those mornings where I just didn't even want to go to church because I was so frustrated but I was working children's so out the door at 9 am we went.  I may have told Savannah to just get in the car and not talk until we get to church and I may have been hoping that Bruce would just fall asleep so the cranky ness would go away!
Our entire way to church was quiet...Savannah was pouting and Bruce fell asleep :). Remember I told Savannah no talking until we got to church...well fast forward 20 minutes and I am turning into the church parking lot and she screams!  Picture me almost crashing into the fence because she scares me half to death!  I ask her WHAT???  Her reply..."I get to see Daddy and I am going to tell him what you said!"  This is followed by a smile from the mean Mommy and Bruce saying Dada Dada!
Savannah couldn't wait to get into the building and as soon as Bruce saw Daddy he was off.  With in a few minutes he was on stage dancing and Savannah was dancing away as well.

My children love their Daddy and I love my husband!  Sunday mornings make me appreciate my husband so much more!  I am not sure if Savannah actually told Andy what I said but seeing them dancing to the music and smiling at Daddy as he praised our God made the horrible morning disappear!

Wordless Wednesday

My Dad's new State Championship ring!  We have won the past 5 years in a row...something no other team in the State of Texas has done...So I guess it's only fitting for the ring to be as big as Texas!  Sorry I can't turn it but you get the idea!

Easter

We had a great day yesterday!  This was the first real week in our new building for church and can I just say I had chills!  It was amazing to see what God has done for our church and its congregation!  God is good!
Once the kids woke up and saw their baskets we spent the rest of the morning playing and getting ready for church.  Savannah asked me where Jesus' basket was since he was going to Heaven he needed to take some for the children there.  Melt my heart!  I love that she is understanding Jesus in a way only a child can.  If we could only have that kind of faith and see Jesus through a 3 year olds eyes!
The kids Easter baskets...Andy told me that I couldn't get Bruce a girly one.  They know that it is from us not the Easter Bunny and we are working very hard at telling them the true meaning of Easter just as we do at Christmas.
 Savannah before church!
Savannah is such a good big sister and I think it is just a matter of time before Bruce passes her in height and weight!  She better enjoy being able to pick him up and wrestle him :)
 My smiling boy!
Andy and the band during sound check.  I was a runner in childrens and host - which was awesome because I got to meet so many new people!
Savannah and Hudson playing on the bouncy houses outside.  She loves Hudson!

My brave child - sliding down the big slide.  We only did this once because she was a little bit to small.
Waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt!
After church we all came home and took naps then went outside to enjoy the beautiful day!
Savannah got bubbles and a jump rope in her Easter basket!
Daddy was trying to show her how it is done... I was cracking up!  Look at the determination on his face

On our swing set!  Bruce is finally getting big enought to do more of it!
Daddy fell asleep on the big circle swing - and when he woke up he told me he wants a hammick!
Bruce loves straws and since Daddy was sleeping he decided to take his!
 me and my girl!
It was a beautiful day!  He is RISEN and we are so thankful!
