Last week Jill and I flew to California for 4 days! It was amazing and I loved every minute of it! This was my first time to California and Jill and her family/friends planned to show me as much as possible. I can't wait to go back!
This is Jill and I in the COLD Pacific ocean...sorry I can't figure out how to turn the picture.
The first morning we went with Jill's grandparents and Dad to eat breakfast. They have got to be the cutest couple and still going strong at 91 years young!
After breakfast her grandparents were the perfect tour guides and drove us around a Mission, Doheny Beach, and Dana Point. The picture above is the Dana Point Harbor...this is where Jill grew up. Be jealous...I was.
Later in the afternoon we headed to Laguna with Jill's mom and stopped by an art studio.
Laguna Beach
We went to the local Sawdust festival and had a great time. It has tons of local artist. We loved walking around and looking at all the art.
This is the wishing well at the festival...below is Jill and her mom!
One of the "Laguna" things to do is get toe rings. So we did...Jill has always had toe rings but needed some new ones. The put you up on a bench then put Windex and Vaseline on your toe to slide the rings on.
After a lot of walking we went and sat on the beach for a couple of hours...I could do that all day long!
This is Donna's car!
Wednesday night we headed down to the beach for a bonfire. It was the perfect night...full moon, clear skies, and around 70 degrees. I was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and was still a little chilly. Of course we also made S'mores :)
Thursday we headed down to San Diego with Jill's friend Halley!
The sea lions
Isn't this beautiful!
Of course we had to make a quick stop by the Padres field.
Thursday we walked around San Diego and then went to an amazing diner that was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I had my first fish taco and I loved it! We then went downtown with Jill's friends, sister, and Mom and went to a piano bar. SO MUCH FUN! just didn't take any pictures :(
Friday morning we were sad to leave but were able to get a couple of quick things in...like cross off a 30 before 30...drinking coffee for the first time. Man I look tired in this picture!
