Weekend Wrap-up!

We had another great November weekend!  Thursday night I had another volleyball game at Andy's old school.  He brought the kids and enjoyed seeing his old friends.  After my game while watching the 8th grade finish Bruce decided he wanted to write.
He was concentrating so hard and so proud of himself when he saw lines on the sheet of paper.
I know I have said it before but I work for a great district and I really do enjoy my school.  Every year we have a Vetern's day ceremony and invite friends and family that have served in our military.  It is always a special event but this year was made more special by a blackhawk helicopter!  At the end of the ceremony it actually took off in front of us.  Really cool!  Thank you for all who have served and are still serving in the military.  WE owe our freedom to you!
Saturday morning after cleaning the house we decided to run to Target and look around.  We are trying to get ideas for Christmas and Target is fun for all of us.  After eating pizza in the concession stand and getting slurpies and popcorn we were off to explore.  Andy calls the picture below gangster style. :)
After Target we needed to run to the mall for a quick purchase so we let the kids ride the merry-go-round.  They love it!  And they are spoiled because later that night they spent the night with Papa and Nana and were taken back to the mall to jump and ride the carosel!
Saturday night Andy and I got a special date night.  WHile the kids stayed with Papa and Nana we went to see the Counting Crows!  Jason and Jill bought us all tickets for Andy's graduation present.  We met them at Pei  Wei then drove downtown for the concert.  When we got downtown Jill wanted to get some coffee before so we went to this cute little cafe with a courtyard inside!
We had a great time at the concert but we were reminded why we like to have actual seats instead of standing.
Thanks Jason and Jill for the tickets and for double date night!

Now getting through this crazy week before the Thanksgiving break!
