Texas Tradition - Bluebonnets

If you have ever lived or visited Texas during the Spring you may think we just don't mow our fields or highways.  The truth is we are hoping and praying for the beautiful Texas Wildflowers to come up.  This year it has rained enough to bring thme out in full force!

I love the bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes.  For the past couple weeks we have seen many people pulled over taking pictures of themselves, their kids, even their dogs in the flowers.  Since I am a sucker for a cute picture and I want to make it our tradition - Andy and I set out for bluebonnet pictures Friday.  Andy was not to thrilled about it but he loves me so he came :)
Trying to get a good picture proved to be a challenge...between my children and their sensitive skin, bugs, the playground right by, and Savannah not feeling well I think we got some cute ones.  Savannah was less than thrilled about taking a picture and trying to get her and Bruce to look and smile at the camera was fun :)
Isn't he so cute...look at how big he is getting!  I can't believe he will be 1 in a couple weeks!
After the pictures we let Savannah and Bruce swing for a few minutes and Daddy got in on the action too!

Daycare Easter Party

I love helping throw parties!  I am one of those people that says it will just be small and it never turns out that way. (hence Bruce's 1st birthday only a couple weeks away).  But with everything going on at school the past couple of weeks for all the parents, we decided to just have a little snack and let the kids do confetti eggs and silly string!
Trying to get a picture isn't always easy!
Savannah was checking out her easter eggs from the egg hunt that happened in the morning!
About to get Mommy with Silly String!
Notice the mess it caused...not to self - Silly string is fun with one can but 15 can add a lot of cleaning!
Notice which child is not where she is supposed to be :)
Bruce's class also had a small party!
Inside a box with lots of Easter Eggs!
They also painted a hard boiled egg with yogurt...Bruce figured out it tasted good and that was all he wanted to do after that!
Our cute boy showing Daddy the egg!
This weekend we have a couple family days planned followed by Easter service, a BBQ, and an egg hunt at the new facility!

Women's Retreat!

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending our church Women's retreat!  I had the best time and developed some new friendships as well as laughed with our ones.  The speaker talked about Grace and Forgiveness and man did that hit close to home!  I have a lot to work on and was challenged by so many things she said!
I love my community group!  We are very real with each other and love spending time together.  The ladies above are the women in the group.  These ladies know a lot about me and are always there to laugh with, cry with, and pray with.  I don't know what I would do without these women!
This year I roomed with Jill and Joy!  We went to bed around 11:45 which is very late for all of us as we are morning people.  I woke up around 6:15 and got my phone...about 15 minutes later I got a facebook message from Jill.  She was awake and saw me on my phone...then about 10 minutes later I was getting up to go to the bathroom when I realized Joy was on her phone.  So needless to say we laughed and turned on the lights at 6:30 :)
The retreat was in the beautiful Texas Hill Country at Camp Buckner.  Driving out on Friday night we saw so many beautiful fields of Wildflowers...Thank you Jesus for the beauty!  I also picked out places for us to take the kids this weekend for pictures:)
I had a great time and can't wait to see what God has in store for the Crossroads Ladies!  Yesterday was our first sunday in our new facility!  It was so exciting to see what God had laid out for us.  And although it was a little rough around the edges I love that Jenn said it was better than our last "first sunday"  I can't wait until Easter and the fun activities we have planned.  Thank you Jesus for dieing on the cross for ME!
