Our weekend
The plan for last weekend:
-Mommy coach at the LTMS tournament
-Savannah go to Dallas to see Addisyn with Papa and Nana
-Daddy and Bruce had a father-son day
Well, that's what we get for planning :)
What really happened:
-Mommy had knee surgery and stayed in bed
-Savannah went to Dallas to see Addisyn with Papa (Nana has to stay home bc she was sick)
-Daddy and Bruce helped Mommy feel better and waited on her
Although our weekend didn't go exactly as we had planned it was still pretty good.
Savannah in pictures
Papa picked her up early and on their way out she got pancakes
They went to Addisyn's cheer game...Savannah loved it.
Savannah loves Samantha and told me that only Samantha can call her Savannah Bannana!
After the game they went to eat with Grandmother and Grandad.
They also played games an saw the Lion King
Savannah had a blast and had a hard time leaving Addisyn. I love the fact that they love each other so much...my cousins are some of my best friends!
This little handsome boy hung out with Daddy and Mommy and helped Mommy feel better.
The best pain medicine!
Okay so the next couple of pictures are of my knee so stop it you don't want to see
The best ice invention! It's connected to an ice chest and circulates ice cold water...I control the temp.
Three incisions...good news was no torn ligaments. Bad news was lots of stuff under knee cap-he had to break some bone to get blood flow back. Now I have to wear a sexy sleeve looking thing for two weeks with the brace.
Although our weekend didn't go as planned we were reminded that God has complete control!
Thank you to Jason, Jill, Joy, Brian, Jenn, and Steve for hanging out or bringing us food. We are so blessed to have you guys as friends!
To my amazing husband-you are my rock and I love you so much! Thank you for doing everything this weekend and making sure I was comfortable. You are awesome and I am so happy and blessed to call you my husband!

In Sickness and in Health
When Andy and I got married we didn't want to write our own vows we wanted to say the traditional ones.
You know the one: In Sickness and in Health till Death do us part
Well lately we have been part of the sickness more than the Health. Don't get me wrong we are blessed and have 2 very happy kids as well as a very happy marriage but man I feel like we can't catch a break. Bruce has been sick, Savannah has been sick, Andy has been sick, and now I am out with a knee. I don't even want to know how much money we have spent on doctors visits, medicine, and hospital bills.

With all that said Andy and I have taken it all in stride and we know that there is always a plan!
I just want to tell my wonderful Husband...THANK YOU!!! I know the past week hasn't been easy with my knee but you are doing an amazing job! Andy literally has to help me get dressed, take showers (and no this is not so great for him right now), get in bed, get on the couch, get in the car, and help with everything around the house. He also has two jobs plus grad school and then there is the whole Daddy thing! I love you so much and I couldn't do it without you!
We are also so thankful to have Momma Harvey here to help too!

Blessed!
At church on Sunday, Brady, our pastor talked about parenting. Brady talked about the different roles and things parents should be teaching their children. When asked how many people like to go back to their parents or in-laws there weren't a lot of hands that went up.
Andy and I are so blessed by our parents. As Brady was talking I thought about all the people that don't really care for their parents or in-laws and I thought it was so sad. We love spending time with our parents and having them come over and spend time with us.
My parents have been married for 36 years and are still very much in love. They raised my brother and I under a Christian roof with strong morals and accountability. We knew when they said something they meant it and even if we got in trouble they would still love and support us. Sports was a huge part of our lives and although we had crazy schedules we made time for each other and were always there for each other. My parents taught me what it meant to be a Godly Woman, Wife, and Mom.
When Andy and I got engaged and married my parents accepted him into our family with open arms. In fact before we found a church our parents were are only friends in Austin :)
My in laws are just as amazing as my parents. They have been married 30 years and taught Andy to be a Godly Man, Husband, and Dad. Although for the first part of our marriage they lived in Alabama they were always willing to make the 11 hour drive to help us out if anything happened. They have accepted me into their family as if I am their 3rd daughter and don't add the in law onto the end when introducing me :) I love spending time with them even without Andy!
Our parents have turned into our best friends and the people we call in times of need. I know that I can pick up the phone and call any of them at any time and they will be there!
Our parents are now teaching Andy and I what it means to be amazing Grandparents. They love our babies more than anything and are always willing to watch them!
After listening to Brady's sermon I can honestly say that our parenting skills were learned from 4 people that got it right! They love us unconditionally, are always supportive, and only a phone call away!
Thank you Daddy and Mom, Dad and Momma Harvey! We love you and can never tell you how much you mean to us! We love you all so much!
A special thank you to Momma Harvey for being at our house for 2 weeks to help in any way possible while I am out with my knee. We would be lost without you!

Savannah's birthday weekend!
Growing up in the Kinnan household my parents always made a big deal about your birthday! Because of this I still have a countdown to my birthday each year...Poor Andy! I want to pass down the same transition to my children. We have been talking about Savannah's birthday for a couple months now. In her mind she was 3 the day of her birthday party at the Hoppin House. But we still made September 10th special.
Savannah was woke up to Mommy, Daddy, and Bruce singing her happy birthday! Once she finally got up we went into the living room and she found her present from us! It's an Easel that she hasn't stopped playing with!
After she played for a little while Daddy and Savannah went to the Donut shop to pick out her sprinkle donut. Then we got ready and headed to Chuckie Cheese! Our next door neighbor Lilia met us to play.
Daddy helping her hit the sharks
Daddy helping Savannah with the pedal.
Happy Bruce watching Savannah!
Savannah and Lilia playing on the Monster Truck
After we got home both kids took naps and when they woke up Savannah wanted to read to Bruce. She loves reading to him and we love watching and listening.
Savannah told me at the end of the day that it was the BEST DAY EVER! (Tangled line) I can't believe she is already 3...I love my Sassy and Sweet Savannah!
Happy 3rd birthday sweet girl!
My sweet Savannah! i have heard parents say before time the days drag but the years fly by! I can't believe that 3 years ago we were waiting to be discharged from the hospital and bring you home.
You have made our lives so full. We love how you are head strong and independent yet so loving and caring. You are a huge Daddy's girl but you still love to wrap your arms around Mommy's neck and tell me you love me. It melts my heart the way you love your brother! Bruce is so lucky to have you as his big sister and I can't wait to see how close you guys are in the years to come!
God has blessed us more than we could ever have imagined...

Happy 75th birthday Grandmother!
This weekend my Mom, the kids, and I went up to Dallas for my Grandmother's 75th birthday! We headed up on Saturday and came back Sunday after the party. It was a quick trip but we had a really good time.
I am so blessed to have Grandparents still living at 28 years old. I love that Savannah and Bruce have Great-Grandparents and they are getting to know them!
Happy birthday Grandmother! We love you!
