I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to let you see my beauty! So here are a quick couple of pictures and I promise I will do an update after this weekend!

Savannah would not go to sleep on Sunday...these are some pictures after we let her cry for almost an hour...we finally went for a drive and she was out cold! Plus Andy and I got to have a great date at Sonic

Andy performed at his schools talent show...he sand Michael Buble Home!

I win Mom of the year for keeping my daughter out until 1 am at a baseball game and then taking her to school with no lunch. So I went Wendy's and got her something.

Goldie and Dorothy!

We got a pet...well I should say two pets. A teacher at school was given these and well she has two big labs so they came home with me. And Savannah loves them...she named them both Dorothy (from Elmo) but we changed one name to Goldie. Now lets just hope we don't spend a lot of money replacing them. Hopefully they will live as long as our beta Malachi (5 years! and a fire!)

Traveling Vietnam Wall

Lake Travis was honored to host the traveling Vietnam Memorial. The wall was escorted by a black hawk helicopter, 100 or so motorcycles, and some veterans. Once they put it up it was a very cool experience. The exhibit had the wall as well as a 9/11 tribute, all the dog tags of the soldiers killed in the war on terror, a WWII exhibit, and a Fort Hood tribute.
The Vietnam wall has a special meaning to my family, my Great Uncle Don Hollingsworth was killed in Vietnam. He was 6 years older than my mom and one of her good friends. I have heard many stories about their childhood together as well as the story of the day they got the news. I wanted to take Savannah to the wall to tell her about her heritage and to pray for the soldiers and their families. It was very neat to see my daughter's little finger next to her Great Great Uncle's name.

Really a 45?

I know you are probably asking what it the world is up with the title? Well that was my score on Monday in bowling. Now, if you know me, you know I am super competitive and I am a pretty good bowler (I took 2 semesters in college!)

However, when your 1 1/2 year old wants to bowl with you, well...
Our community group decided to go bowling on Monday night and just hang out. It was black light bowling which made it even more fun to watch Savannah.

Andy was having the "perfect game" according to him so he let Savannah bowl with him once but she was mostly with me.

She wanted to kick the ball instead of roll it and most of the time it was in the gutter or she would foul and our score wouldn't count.

Every time someone would bowl she would say "look" and then follow by clapping and squeling when the pins would fall

These are some of the girls our or community group! They are great and I love spending time with them!

These two beatiful ladies are going to be mommies!!! I am so excited for them. Jenn and I have been friends for 3 years now and she and Leo were the first friends we told we were pregnant. Becky and Justin have a 2 year old and are now expecting their 2nd!
SO EXCITED!!!

Mother's Day

My 2nd mothers day was great! Trying to get a picture with Savannah sitting still well...

I love living in the same city as my parents! My mom is an amazing women and I am so blessed to call her mom! She works so hard to give all of us everything we want and before I was a mom I took a lot of it for granted! When I was in high school my mom and I never saw things the same way, as I got into college our relationship changed. She was the one that I would call for help with papers, if I was struggling with friendships, if I needed prayer, and when I just needed to hear that I was supported! My mom is now one of my best friends and I will call her just to talk about my day or to see how her's is going. My mom has been there for me in the good times and bad and has always been in my corner. I love my mom and I am so thankful that Savannah has a Nana like her!

My Mother in law is another special woman in my life! She accepted me as her own when Andy and I were dating and that meant the world to me! When Andy and I broke up she even told him that if he didn't get back together with me than she would just adopt me herself. I am so blessed to call her Momma Harvey and my friend! I love you Momma Harvey and Savannah loves her Ma!

I wanted to leave you with a poem that I thought was so true! Hope all the mom's had a great day and for all my friends that struggled with the day I want you to know that I am praying for you and love you. Savannah has so great aunts!!!

Before I was a Mom,

I never tripped over toys

or forgot words to a lullaby

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous

I never thought about immunizations

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.

Pooed on

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night!

Before I was a mom,

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.

I never feld my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never know I would love being a mom

Before I was a Mom,

I didn't know that feeling of having my heart outside my body

I didn't knoe how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby

I didn't know that bond between mother and child

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night

every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment, or the satisfaction of being a Mom!

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom!

Weekend wrap up

We had a great weekend! Pa and Ma came in for a visit and or course Savannah loved it! We spent most of our time outside and to be honest I really didn't get the camera out. But here are a couple pictures!

Pa would push her around the yard in the wheel barrow and then Savannah wanted to show us how strong she was and she pushed it around for a couple of feet!

It's not a visit from Pa and Ma without the swing!!!

Andy cooking hamburgers...they were so good!!!

Look I am a big girl...I will push the swing!

Sunday evening we met my parents at Johnny Fins. Savannah didn't want to eat much because she was feeding the ducks and fish! It was a fun evening!
Hope you had a great weekend!

I love pudding!

It is safe to say that my daughter has Mommy's sweet tooth!

Aunt Amy is 24!

Sunday was Amy's 24th brithday! Although we live literally 5 minutes from each other we are all so busy that we don't get to see each other as much as we would like! A couple of weeks ago Amy called about doing something for her birthday and she seemed bummed that it won't be a big deal.

Birthday's are a HUGE deal to me and I literally have a countdown until my birthday every year. I know I am weird! So when I talked to Amy and we were trying to cordinate her birthday I was a little upset that it wasn't working out the way we both wanted.

Well, last week Rob called me and it just so happened that our weekend plans had changed. We both started throwing ideas off of each other and he really wanted to make it special but also keep in a surprise. Of course, me being a huge birthday person I loved the idea. I love surprises! So we started our plan.

The plan was that Saturday I would go over and help decorate the apartment, then we would meet Rob and Amy and their friends at Chuy's and go back to their apartment for cake afterwards. BTW I think I talked more to Rob on the phone in two days than I had in four years :)

Friday afternoon I got a call from my future brother in law - Daryl. I thought this is odd and hoped nothing was wrong. When I answered he asked what are plans were and told us that Randi and him were going to drive in from FLORIDA to surprise Amy. HOLY CRAP!!! I was so excited...Saturday Rob also informed me that his sister and mom were also coming to surprise!

We pulled it off and Amy was so excited! I told the table that she would probably cry and I was right! We love Amy so much and are so happy we were able to celebrate with her! Here are some fun pictures!

All the Harvey kids

Daryl, Randi, Amy, Rob, Savannah, Claire, and Andy!

This was right after she saw Randi...I tried to get the look on her face when she noticed but she started running and my camera didn't work that fast. She was so excited to see Randi!

Randi and I waiting for the surprise. I am so blessed that I married into a family with two great sisters!

Here are a couple of pictures of Saturday before the party...Amy didn't know any of us were coming so we hung out at the house. Savannah loved Randi and Daryl being there! In fact she started crying on Sunday when we pulled out saying Dare Dare and Wandy!

Daryl taught Savannah how to pillow fight...THANKS DARYL!!

Let me tell you he is going to make one great DAD! He was crazy all weekend!

I didn't take a lot of pictures during the excitement of the weekend but we had a blast and I am glad that Randi and Daryl arrived safely back in Florida on Sunday night!

I-phone fun!

Around the time of our 1st married Christmas together the newest product from Apple came out...the I-phone. Andy begged me to get him one for his Christmas present but $400.00 was way out of our budget. So, while celebrating Christmas in Mobile, Andy realized that he had enough money to buy the phone. He loved it and to be honest I did too!
Well, of course two years later Apple came out with a newer I-phone. So for two years my sweet husband has asked and asked. Finally about a month ago he was asking again and I said go for it! The look on his face was priceless!
I know that is a weird story but we love his new phone! It takes video of Savannah and also pretty good quality pictures. This weekend, Savannah was in her element. Every time we turned around I was telling Andy get your phone and take a picture (the camera was always somewhere else) Here are a couple of pictures of our cutie!
We had a crazy and eventful weekend and I will update on that later!

Her new glasses that she insists on turning upside down. Don't mind me in the background...I was laying down.

We went to eat with Jason and Jill at Cracker Barrell on Friday night and Jill and I found this hat and thought Savannah would look so cute in it!
Okay let me just say that lately Savannah has had an obsession with shoes. She will put anyones shoes on and walk in them. She loves Daddy's boots...apparently this is a family trait...check out the picture that my Father in law sent us at the bottom. It's Andy in his dad's boots! I love this little girl!

Andy!
